"Jade is something bothers you?" Mrs. Caldwell asked as she stood beside her.

"I miss her and what we used to be," she replied.

"Jade, it's been a long time since that accident," Mrs. Caldwell said.

"Don't you miss her?" Jade asked as she watches the night sky by her windowsill.

"I miss her baby, but I knew she doesn't want us sad. Your sister always wants us to enjoy life while we are here," Mrs. Caldwell said.

"How can I enjoy life knowing she no longer exists?" Jade asked.

"Jade, I can't answer that for you. You must figure it on your own. It was hard for me knowing my other daughter is dead but you're still here with me, so I moved on, making sure you are being taken care of and loved. I decided in my heart to give you the best life for you," Mrs. Caldwell said.

"Tell me mom, did you forgive her? Do you forgive Gab for what she did?" Jade asked as tears fall from her eyes.

"Baby, I need to forgive her. If I can't, I will only trap myself in a cage of hate for the rest of my life. It's hard, but it's for my good. Free yourself Jade or you will never see life for what," Mrs. Caldwell replied.

"How am I supposed to forgive her when she is the reason, I lost my sister and now she's taking Cali from me to Mom?" Jade asked as she looks at her mother.

"Jade, do you see her taking Cali from you? Cali may be fond of Gab, but did she ever leave you?" Mrs. Caldwell said.

"I'm not sure," she replied.

"Talk to Cali and Gab. Once you talk to them, you will find the answer you seek. You can't assume things find what is true and you will be free," Mrs. Caldwell said.

"I'm not sure if I can ever do it, Mom," Jade said.

"You'll do what is right Jade, get rest for tomorrow," she said.

"Thanks, mom for everything," Jade said.

"Love you," Mrs. Caldwell said as she kisses Jade's forehead.

"Goodnight!" Jade said.

Jade moved to bed without knowing what awaits her the next day.

"Good morning Jade!" Cali said as she saw Jade waking.

'Why are you here in my room?" Jade asked as she sat.

"Your mom let me come in your room," she replied.

"Why are you here? It's only seven in the morning," Jade said.

"You don't want me waking you up Jade? I came here early to make it more special," Cali said.

"You don't have to," Jade said.

"Well, I'm here now and your mom looks to cook something good. She said, I can join you guys for breakfast," Cali said.

"Let's go outside," Jade said as she hops off her bed.

"Where? Don't you want breakfast here?" Cali asked.

"I mean we should leave my room," Jade said.

"Oh ok," Cali said.

"Breakfast is ready, girls," Mrs. Caldwell said from the kitchen.

"We'll be there in a sec, Mom," Jade replied.

"Wow! This tastes great, Mrs. Caldwell," Cali said as she started eating.

"Cali, don't tell me you came here for breakfast," Jade said.

"Part of it, yes, but I want you to come with me today," Cali said.

"Where?" Jade asked.

"Brooklyn, I want you to hang-out with me and Gab, hope you're ok with it but if you have something to do, I understand," Cali said.

"I'm coming with you," Jade said.

"Thanks, Jade!" Cali said.

"You look to be excited since you even came here so early to pick me up," Jade said.

"Well, you girls should get going soon or you might not meet Gab in her place," Mrs. Caldwell said.

"Let me get a quick shower and we'll go," Jade said.

"Ok, I'll wait here," Cali said.

On their way to Brooklyn, Cali mentioned Paige in her conversation with Jade.

"Jade," Cali said as they got stuck in traffic.

"Yes?" Jade asked.

"I told Paige that I admire him," Cali said.

"You did?" Jade asked.

"Yeah, but he told me he prefers for us to be friends. It was embarrassing, but he didn't make me appear awful for what I did, which makes me respect him more," Cali said.

"Do you guess it's because he likes Gab that he dumps you?" Jade asked.

"He told me he likes me, and nothing is going on between him and Gab but he thinks we're not ready for it," Cali replied.

"Tell me, Cali, do you trust Gab?" Jade asked.

"I trust her enough to be a kind person. Why?" Cali asked.

"Cali are not afraid of being betrayed?" Jade asked.

"It hurts and I am tired, but I have faith in people because I understand not everyone is the same," Cali said.

"Can you prove that they're not the same?" Jade asked.

"My proof is having you by my side Jade and that's what I need," Cali replied.

"That's too simple, Cali," Jade said.

"People always want to complicate things so I'll keep it simple," Cali said.

"Sometimes, I wonder how your brain works," Jade said as she releases the brake pedal.

"Excuse me, my brain works," Cali said.

"Whatever," Jade said.
