The holidays passed by far too quickly for Iris's liking. She found her self back in the castle of Hogwarts too soon. She spent the sleepless nights studying the family history. She could not sleep as she was plagued with nightmares. She still has not told anyone about Parkinson attacking her. The bruises had faded, but the memories were still fresh in her mind. She could still feel the pain course through her every once in a while.
The group staid with her the whole time, but it was hard to not keep quiet. She wanted so badly to tell them, but she couldn't. The only one who knew was Scorpius, but he wasn't there. She couldn't talk to him. D id he not say he would help her? How can he do that if he wasn't here, and she couldn't get a hold of him.
She was frustrated, she had regretted not asking him for a contact number...but at the same time, she didn't want to seem too greedy...or desperate either.
Iris sighed as they made their way to the Slytherin table. It was dinner time. They all sat down in their normal spot. Nico and Alec were talking animatedly about a prank they had played on someone.
"Is this seat taken?"
Iris turned and looked to see a girl
that she had never seen before standing there. "Uh...no." She said hesitantly. The girl sat down beside Iris.
"I haven't seen you before." Daphne said looking over the girl with a cold dark look.
"I just transferred." The girl replied not all that bothered by the icy cold glare. "I will be completing first year here." She added.
"You don't look 11." Daphne said.
"I don't try to either." Selene replied knowing full well Daphne was sizing her up. "Eyes back in your head boys." Selene added firmly.
"Well, you are not helping with that outfit." Another girl from Slytherin said.
"Girls should be able to feel comfortable in what ever they wear and not be shamed for what they wear just because boys don't know how to be respectful. Instead of thinking with their dicks, they should be focused on thinking with their brain to get them selves a life." Selene said sharply. "Females are not objects to be owned." She added coldly.
"What's your name?" Iris asked, using a different approach than Daphne. She could tell by Selene's posture, that it was a sore topic for her to talk about, but she could also feel just how much Selene meant by her words.
"Selene." The girl, Selene replied.
Iris smiled. "That is a pretty name. Greek right?" She asked.
"Goddess of the Moon." Selene replied.
"That's pretty neat." Alec said.
"Do tell more." Nico added as he leaned in.
