We sit in silence, unlike last time. It was comfortable, and neither of us wanted to break it. It was nice knowing that someone you like, likes you back. Even better when the both of you are incredibly comfortable with one another. It was something I've never experienced with a newer friend.

His hand suddenly grasps mine. He side glances me with a tired yet sweet smile. I return it, giving his hand a gentle squeeze.

Rain began to hit against the windshield and top of the car, making little 'plop' sounds. It wasn't a harsh rain, not one that would dampen your mood. It was a soft, honey rain. One that made me feel all cozy.

The car ride felt slower than last time. It was as if he was purposely trying to make it last longer. I wouldn't mind it.

"Hey Gi," I call, making up the random nickname as I speak, "do you prefer snow or rain?"

He squints his eyes in thought, making it look like he closed his eyes. "That's tough. Snow smells so fresh and looks so clean. I like the cold, too. I don't like being wet."

I giggle, "but if you're in the snow and you go inside, you'll be wet."

"Yeah, but- shut up. I like snow."

I hum, "I think I prefer rain. It sounds nice, smells nice, and cleans everything off. Plus the shininess makes everything look pretty. And it can be sometimes warm and sometimes cold. It can bring thunderstorms along with it and those are the prettiest to look at."

He nods, "that's true, but does rain cancel school? I think not. And you can build things with snow. Snowmen, snowballs, snow angels, snow forts. And if you catch a snowflake, you can look at it and see how pretty it is before it melts."

"Yeah, I never thought of that. Snowflakes are pretty. They say that snowflakes are never the same design. I wonder if anyone has ever actually studied them before though. Maybe they missed one and assumed they were all different. I don't know. It's like people. We all are different, but we could always either have a twin or doppelgänger."

He laughs, unconsciously rubbing the back of my hand with his thumb, "sometimes I wonder where you think of this stuff from."

"Random thoughts at two in the morning, dude," I chuckle, leaning my head back on the headrest.

He shakes his head with a small grin, "hey, we're here." He slows the car as we pull up my driveway. I whine in disappointment.

"See you tomorrow?" I question.

"Always," he winks slyly.

I roll my eyes, "text me when you get home."

"Will do, stranger. Bye bye," he waves as I step out of the car. I felt saddened at the thought of leaving him, but I knew I'd see him tomorrow.
