Louis' (POV)
"You put my baby in the hospital!" I shoved at Jake's chest as soon as I walked in the doors of the hospital. Jake immediately stands up, furrowing his eyebrows.

Joesph is yet again in the hospital. Jake fed him some nuts, which Joesph is allergic to. But of course Jake wouldn't know his own son is allergic to that!

"You don't want to do this in front of your kids Louis. Don't start." He growled in my ear, as he gripped my arm harshly. "I didn't know he was allergic to nuts." Jake informed, letting my arm go, getting out of my face.

"Of course you wouldn't know Jake, you don't know shit about our kids. Yet, they still ask for your bum ass." I squinted my eyes, walking away from him. I sit down next to the two teenagers, smiling at them.

"Hey pop. Hi dad." Noah spoke up, setting his phone down on his lap. Jake takes a seat next to me, we all patiently wait until the doctor comes out of the room.

As we wait, the tension becomes heavy by the second. I look over at Darcy, sensing something is wrong. She stays still, looking forward, with no expression on her face.

She hasn't said a word.

"Baby, Darc, you okay?" I leaned over trying to catch her attention. She stays still, nodding her head. "Are you sure?" She repeats the action, not looking at me.

"Leave her alone, she doesn't want to be bothered right now." Jake grumbled into his hand. I roll my eyes at his comment.

"You care, why? You don't have a right to tell me what to do and what not to do. Fuck you." I spat, not being able to take his shit anymore.

"Whatever, you know I still have that power over you Louis. Don't think you will get far from me." He whispered, making sure our kids didn't hear him. I suddenly become very scared when he grabs my arm again. "Say it Louis, say it." He hissed.

I bite my lip to keep myself from whining in pain. He grips harder and harder, like he's about to break my arm. I squeeze my eyes shut, keeping myself from saying it. A tear rolls down my cheek whenever he drags his fingernails along with the tight grip.

"Y-You have power over me." I whispered back to him breathless. He chuckles, letting go of my arm. I sigh in relief when he lets go. I look down at my arm, little blood dots are starting to form, and his hand shape is almost imprinted on my arm from how harsh he gripped me.

It's always been like that and he only got better doing that over the years.

"Thought so." He says.

*next morning

"Papa can we get donuts?" I heard the toddler ask me as he climbs onto my bed, jumping on me. "Please!" He squeals. A smile slowly creeps on my face, hearing the sound of my son's voice.

I'm really happy Jake agreed for the kids to come with me for the rest of the weekend. I don't trust them with him. He doesn't give two shits about the three of them.

"Okay bubba, lemme get ready, okay? Go wake up your bother and sister." I demand with a mumble. Joseph claps his hands, and he runs out of the room, his small feet hitting the ground.

I open my eyes and hop out of bed. I walk to the restroom, doing my morning routine. As I do my routine, I think about Darcy.

Darcy is usually very talkative. Last night in the car ride after getting Joseph back from the doctors, she was really quiet. Not speaking to me. Maybe something happened with her friends?

Does is have to deal with school? A boy? Having a boyfriend? Is she failing? Is someone bullying her? Is she gay? Is she okay..?

All these questions run through my mind. I felt some off vibes from her. She's not herself. It worries me. I am worried for my two teens as of right now. During this time, the world is cruel.

I know from experience. I have had thoughts.

So looking out for the teenagers and making sure they're truly happy is my number one priority. I wouldn't be able to take it if I hear that one of my babies is doing or thinking something they shouldn't be.

My world will be broken.

I walk out of the restroom, putting on black skinny jeans and a light grey shirt. I grab my wallet and phone before I walk out of my room. I hear Joseph talking, so I tiptoe near Noah's room.

"I wanna play Minecraft." Joseph says. I listen to my two baby boys converse, blessed to have them in my life. I smile lightly, and walk away, going over to my daughter's room.

"Baby?" I knock on the door, waiting for a response. I heard a little 'come in,' and open the door. I see my daughter looking up at the ceiling, laid out on the bed. "Are you okay?"

I noticed how Darcy tenses up. "Mhmm." She hums. She turns over, her back now facing me. "Can you please stop asking if I'm okay? It's annoying." She grumbles.

My heart shatters, knowing she's not okay. "Oh okay, sorry butterfly. I'm going to go buy donuts for your little brother. Would you like to come with me? Do you want some donuts?" I asked, rubbing her back.

"Leave me alone." She dismisses me.

"Okay.." I sighed, walking out of her room, closing the door. I walk back to Noah's room. "Noah, do you want to come with me to get donuts? Would you like some?" I asked him, leaning against the doorframe, rubbing my temples.

"Yeah I'll come." He says. Joseph sequels, I remove my hand, seeing my baby run out the room and down the stairs. "Dad, what's that on your arm?" Noah asks, looking at my arm.

My eyes widen, forgetting to cover it up. "O-Oh, I just ran into the metal part of the door last night at the hospital." I lied, covering up my arm.

Noah shakes his head. "Dad, seriously, where did it come from?" He walks you to me, removing my arm that was covering up the mark Jake made. I rip my arm from his hand, not wanting him to see.

"Noah, drop it. Let's go." I scolded, walking out of his room. I go downstairs putting on my black vans, getting ready to leave. I help Joseph with his shoes, as he talks about what kind of donuts he wants.

Noah comes downstairs, looking at me with a suspicious look.

"Alrighty, lets go."
