My heart skipped a beat.

Jimin Pov

"Wait for me" I yelled at my friend Taehyung who was goofing around with my neighbour's kid. He was always weird. He loved to seek attention, was always the class clown but he is too handsome to be one. He is tall and has almond-shaped eyes with a sharp nose and a quick brain.  He doesn't understand how every girl at school wants to date him but he uses humour as a defence mechanism to insult the girl and push her away. I've been with him for the past 5 years but I never understood him completely. But he is my only friend.
Today is our first day at Neoland High School. As usual, I woke up late because of the anxiety attack I had last night. Am I gonna be kicked out of school again? I hope not.

"Wow. You jimined today too. It's our first day! You wanna screw up already?" Tae asked with a contemplating look before his face cracked into a smirk. I ignored the question and waited for the school bus. Taehyung's father is a millionaire but he hated that Tae hangs out with me always and when he was asked to choose between me and the car. He chose me. So neither of us own a car and we had to find seats in this bus that reeked of sweat and potato chips.

As soon as I entered I found two seats at the corner of the bus with no windows, I walked down the aisle with my head down and a hundred eyes just staring at us. I lifted my head and that's when I noticed that Tae who was coming behind me was missing. Well, not really. He was being bullied. I saw the guy, wow. He was tall with shiny black hair, silky smooth skin and strongly built body. "Jungkook, leave that poor boy alone" yelled his friend when jungkook was teasing Taehyung and playing with his hair. Tae just stood there, trembling. I didn't know what to do. I was weak. Jungkook whispered something in his ears, smiled and pushed Tae towards me.

I caught Tae and helped him sit down. "What happened, what did he say?" I asked him and he just looked at me, just stunned. I shook him and asked again. "He kissed me, Jimin. That guy, he kissed my ear". I didn't understand, I was as shocked as him. It is absurd. "He said I look like a snack and he kissed me," Tae said, almost bursting out in tears. I held him tight till we got off from the bus and promised to forget about this incident.

We got off from the bus and the bully was not around, thankfully. Tae eventually went back to his goofy self but I knew that he was scared. We walked around the huge campus filled with trees, conifers and flowers. We crossed the basketball court and stood there. We loved basketball but neither of us was good at it. It was 8:00 am and my classes start at 8:30 so I had plenty of time to watch a game. Or so I thought. There were only 5 guys in the court. Two were tall, blonde and were doing some workouts, another one looked handsome and had very broad shoulders, then we spotted Jungkook, the bully and immediately decided to leave. But someone else caught my attention. He dribbled and shot the ball right into the basket.

And my heart skipped a beat.
