"I still can't believe you're part of the alpha pack." Stiles said in the drivers seat of his blue jeep. He looked at me through his rear view mirror and gave me a look. I returned one and replied.
"I'm not a part of it. Not yet anyway." I said the last part quietly. I looked over at Scott who shifted in the passenger seat.
"What do you mean when you say, 'not yet'?" Scott asked turning a little in his seat to look at me. I wiped my forehead and let out a sigh.
"Deucalion gave me a mission to do. He said if I do it then I'm in." I explained. Scott and Stiles exchanged glances and looked at me. It was a little creepy actually because they did it at the same time.
"Why don't you have your own pack?" Stiles asked. He glanced at me and then back to the road. I looked over at Scott who looked like he also wanted to know the story. I sighed once more and began.
"I don't have a pack. My pack was killed." I said looking down at my hands remembering the horrible, tragic, memory. I shuddered and shook my head slightly.
        "What happened?" Stiles piped up.
"A rival pack is what happened." I took another deep breath before continuing. "My elder brother, David, dated the eldest daughter of our rival pack's alpha. Once he found out he came after my entire family. He started with David, the brother I was closest to." I choked back a sob as I continued. "My father, the alpha, decided to get involved. Only, he didn't know that the alpha also had reinforcements. It soon became a blood bath. Everyone was killed. Literally, everyone. No one survived from either pack except for me. That's only because I was hiding under the staircase like a coward. When it went silent I walked out and saw everyone laying on the ground. The first person I saw was David. My heart stopped and dropped. I couldn't feel myself breathing, I couldn't hear myself think. Then I saw a movement come from the corner of my eye. It was my father. I ran over to him. I won't forget his words. He said, 'Ella, take care of yourself sweetheart. You'll be a great alpha.' I didn't understand what he meant. Then he took my hand and put in on his neck. His last words were, 'I love you. We all love you. Now we need you to keep this family line going. Kill me.' I started crying and without thinking I ripped out his throat." at that point I was in hysterics. I felt the jeep come to a stop and I looked up from my hands at the two boys staring back at me with sad eyes.
"I am so sorry Ella." Stiles said reaching back where I am and took my hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. I gave him a slight smile and looked over at Scott who looked like he was about to cry. I shrugged and wiped my eyes clear of the salty tears that were coming from my face.
"I lived a year without anyone. Then one day I met Aiden and Ethan. They told me about the alpha pack and how I can become a part of it." I told them still looking down at my lap. I sniffled and looked back up. "And here I am." I shrugged. I looked out the window to see we were in front of what seemed like an abandoned building. "Uh, guys. Where are we?" I asked turning to look at them again.
"A friends." was all they said before getting out of the jeep. I followed in pursuit. I shut the door behind me and hugged my jacket closer to me as it was raining and cold. We walked into the building and up some stairs. We came to a rather large red door. Scott opened the door and walked in. I walked in after being cautious. I looked around the large room. Straight ahead was a whole wall of windows. In front was a decent sized table with papers all laid out. To the left of the table was a circular staircase going up. To the right was a big bed with black covers, and also a decent sized couch. But what really caught my attention were the two guys standing around at the table. They both looked up from the papers and turned to look at us as we walked in. One of them had dark brown hair and blue-green eyes, had some facial hair and really fit. But the other one, the other one caught my eye immediately. He was tall, dark hair, light green eyes that make me want to melt, easily the nicest body I've seen in a while (and he's wearing a shirt but I can STILL tell). He looked strong and powerful. Not gonna lie, it was a little intimidating. His arms were crossed over his chest showing off his biceps through his gray long sleeve shirt.
"Nice of you two to finally show up." he spoke. My heart sped up a little bit at the sound of his voice. It was deep and perfect, with a hint of annoyance at Scott and Stiles. I lit up my cocky smile and looked at them. They looked at me and at each other and shook there heads. They started walking towards the table and I followed but very slowly and kept my distance.
"You can come over here sweetheart, we won't bite." the older one called to me with a perfect white smile. I slowly started walking towards them and stood between Scott and the handsome man that had me swooning at the just the sight of him. I was careful not to make eye contact with him and just kept looking down. "So Scott, who's your friend?" the man across from us spoke again.
"This is Ella. Ella this is Peter Hale and Derek Hale." Scott said pointing to each of them. The one I know to be Peter stuck out his hand and I took it in a friendly hand shake. Derek held out his hand and I shook his as well. The fact that the guy standing next to me is the guy that I have to convince to join Deucalion makes my stomach jerk and and my heart ache.
"Don't take offense to this sweetheart, but Scott, Stiles, why did you bring her here?" Peter asked the two of them.
"We thought she could help." Stiles said walking over to me and throwing his arm around my shoulder. I looked up at him and gave him a 'what the hell are you doing' type face. Stiles nodded at them and smiled.
"Show 'em." Stiles pleaded. I groaned and closed my eyes and lowered my head. I raised my head with my eyes still closed. I moved slightly so that Derek could also see my eyes. I opened my eyes and they burned a bright red. I blinked my eyes and they went back to their normal olive green. I looked at the two of them and Derek looked a little shocked and Peter looked the quite opposite, he looked, almost cheery.
"How did we not know that there was another alpha in town?" Derek asked looking over at Peter. Peter just looked at me and smiled. I looked all around me to see everyone looking at Peter.
"I have so idea. But I knew as soon as you walked in you were an alpha." he said crossing his arms over his chest.
"You did?" I asked. He nodded.
"Of course. You may of acted shy but you carried yourself like a leader. You have courage, and a lot of it. I can see it. Especially, since you're here and not with your own pack. A certain pack in particular." I looked down and frowned.
"You're part of Deucalion's pack?" Derek asked. I shook my head no.
"No, not formally. He wants me in his pack and I lost mine a year or so ago." I said playing with the bottom of my jacket. The room went silent and I just removed myself from the conversation and walked over the the window looking out it and looking out at the town, hugging my jacket closer to my body, thinking of the tragic day that my family was killed.
