Carter was upset. Deliah knew it and all of Manhattan knew it. He was drinking heavily and wasn't sleeping out and about. The man knew who he loved and the women had hurt herself because of him. Guilt ran through his veins and it poisoned him. Alcohol and drugs wasn't strong enough to numb him. He had been getting in trouble with Nate Archibald as he was influencing gabbling. Chuck sorted him out by manipulation like per usual. It was Serena that had encouraged Deliah to look out for Carter.
"D you love Carter somebody needs to provide him love before he tips over the edge" Serena ranted while looked for a Gucci dress in Deliah's closet.
"Maybe i should tell Blair and my mother i wont be returning till late bye S - thank you for that chat" Deliah says grabbing her coat to head to the bar where the brunette knew Carter would be.
As the petite dark haired women entered she saw Carter sat alone nobody with him just him. He looked awfully lonely. It hurt Deliah to see him in this state.
"Can I join you?" She asked sitting anyway.
"What are you doing here? not usually your scene Waldorf" Carter grumbles drinking rum.
"But its yours therefore i think its - comfortable" Deliah responds examining the beat up bar.
"still didn't answer my question" He groans.
"I'm here to keep you company, your in a dark place Carter and you seem to forget that I was there once too" She says trying to hold his hand but he moves it away.
"Don't patronise me" He says that stung Deliah abit.
"I don't plan on patronising you Carter" Deliah says looking straight at him.
"Then what-" Carter began before Deliah poured his rum on him and kissed him.
This definitely surprised the man but then Deliah was never feisty with him. Carter laughs at his wet shirt to see Deliah smirking at him. She started to laugh with man before a song came on that made them want to dance like there was no tomorrow. Carter had never seen Deliah have a dance that wasn't slow but she never drank enough to be drunk ever. Carter loved seeing her happy specially in his company.
"This reminds me of the titanic" Deliah shouts to Carter over the music.
"Why" He laughs back yet kinda confused by the statement.
"Well there dance wasn't her type of place and neither is here" She responds.
"Well I guess its classical then" Carter says smiling at her structured face.
Throughout the night the two had kissed numerous times before things got carried away Carter decided to bring her home. He held her hand while she danced through the park. As the wind flowed through her hair he had noticed details of her face he had never before. Like the freckles on her cheeks she covers with makeup or the little faded scar on her forehead from back in kindergarten. The small details made him fall more and more in love with the brunette. He had never seen the carefree Deliah but he knew he loved it. As the pair arrived at the penthouse it was clear that Dorota was not happy with Deliah's late return. Carter told the maid he would set her down. The man tucked the women in her bed, he examined her bedroom before kissing her forehead to say goodbye he deliberately kissed the scar as he decided it was his favourite perk. Before he went to leave Deliah grabbed his Jacket arm.
"Don't go please, I need you, I need you to stay till I wake up to make sure this is not a dream" The eldest Waldorf says eyes begging Carter.
"Okay" He answers also getting comfortable in her bed with her body snuggling into his.
It wasn't long for Deliah to fall asleep on Carter's chest. Deep down Deliah felt that Carter was gonna leave. Carter wasn't going too.
"I love you" The man whispers before also falling asleep into her satin pillow.
