Third Person POV

Natsu was throwing a New Years Party. Lucy and him snuck away for a chance to be alone. And it was a success. They decided to go to his room. They heard the loud guests downstairs but only ignored them.

"Thanks for everything, Natsu" Lucy said. It was almost new years. 2 more minutes.

"What do you mean?" He asked as they continued to walk in his mansion. Soon, he arrived in his room. Lucy automatically walked out onto the balcony and looked at the night sky.

"You flipped my life around." Lucy said, turning to him. He had two wine glasses in his hands. Natsu handed her one.

He chuckled.

"Seriously! I'm grateful" Lucy smiled.

"Lucy, you did it yourself." he smiled.

"You helped! I've been so much more happier since I've met you..." Lucy trailed but then they heard the chants of the whole town and people downstairs together.

"10! 9! 8!"

"Well, Lucy Heartfilia, this is just the beginning of our adventures together." He grinned, clinking glasses.

"5! 4!"

"Good" she replied.

"2!"

"And.... Happy new year!" Lucy smiled up at Natsu. He grinned and kissed her lips passionately. They departed not too long after. Looking her in the eyes, he grinned.

"You used to be so..." He trailed off.

"Shy, quiet, nerdy" Lucy giggled as she drank the wine. Natsu chuckled and joined her.

"Now you're outgoing... Funny... Some would say annoying..." Natsu teased, earning a light punch in the arm.

"Hey now. I should be saying that." Lucy chuckled, grinning as she leaned back on the railing. Natsu laughed.

"Again, it's because of you. When we met, you made me crazy. It was you who actually gave me the confidence to stand up to Lisanna... And for myself. I realized that... It's better when you have someone by your side than having no one at all." Lucy confessed.

"You don't go to war without an army. If you do, you'll only be brought down on sight." She finished.

"Hey that was pretty good." Natsu grinned at her little saying. She giggled. Then, they both looked at each other. Their eyes were locked on each others.

"Neh, Natsu?" Lucy asked softly.

"What is it?" He replied in the same tone of voice.

"I love you..." She smiled.

"I love you too" Natsu grinned, leaning down and kissing her again.

"I really love you!" Lucy kissed him back.

"I really love you too!" Natsu chuckled as they departed. Then, he back away and opened his arms up wide. Lucy looked at him confused at first then grinned, she backed away as well before dashing forward. She jumped into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist. Natsu chuckled and carried her inside, where all guests were.
