Taehyung stayed in the living room of his little apartment, writing on a piece of scrap paper how he would make a picnic date with you. He planned the different foods he would pack, and made a note to ask Jin for help. He also checked his phone for different locations nearby that would be fun to visit, like national parks or rivers with a pretty view. This kind of made him excited, especially at the thought of seeing you so happy. The two of you didn't really go on a date just the two of you in a while, the last was one was around February when you went to a new restaurant that opened up in town. Mostly, your dates would start solo, but something would come up, or you'd run into one of the others and they would join you. Taehyung never minded, and it seemed you were okay with it as well, but still. Taehyung wanted to spend time with just you, no outsiders looking in.

As Taehyung was making notes and looking up potential picnic spots, the door to the apartment opened and a cackle could be heard.

"Aaaaaa, Yeongieeeee~! You're so funny." Taehyung groaned at the sound of his mother's voice. She was drunk, and it sounded like she was bringing home this guy, Yeong Bin, that she had been seeing for a while. The door closed with a bang and Taehyung tried to keep his eyes down on his phone as the drunk duo staggered into the living room. His mother's high pitched giggles were starting to give him a headache, and he groaned as he glanced up. His mother and Yeong Bin were holding each other up, that was how intoxicated they were. "Ahhh, Taehyuuung, you're finally home." She hummed, her head lolling over to her son.

"Uh-huh..." he said. "Paid my bail money and everything." His mother laughed a bit as she staggered to the couch, sitting beside him. He scooted away.

"Stop playing, you bad boy." She nudged him. Taehyung rolled his eyes as she burped. "...Why are you ignoring me? Show some respect!"

"You're drunk, I don't give a crap what you have to say." Taehyung said simply, scrolling through his phone. He heard footsteps approaching him and he glanced up, before being hit over the head by Yeong Bin. "Ow! What the fuck?!"

"Don't talk to your mother that way." He slurred, hiccupping. Taehyung stood up, crossing his arms.

"You're not my dad, do not come off trying to tell me what to do." He hissed.

"Ahh, you little prick." He took hold of Taehyung's collar. Taehyung snickered.

"Go ahead and hit me. I just got in a fight with some other jerk off and you're even weaker than he is."

"Aaaah, enough, enough. My head is swimming." His mother groaned, and Yeong Bin released Taehyung. "Honey, go get me water?" She hummed, laying on the couch. Taehyung shoved himself past Yeong Bin.

"Get it yourself, I'm going to bed." He scoffed, slamming the door to his room. He tugged off his shirt and tossed it into the ever-growing pile of dirty laundry. He glanced at it, making a mental note to go to Jin's house soon and do laundry. Laying down on his bed, running a hand through his hair as he heard Yeong Bin and his mom continue their drunken stupor and make noise outside. Rolling onto his side, he pulled out his earphones. Slipping them on, he pulled up your number and called it. Though it was late, and he understood you may be sleeping, he wanted to try. It rang for a moment, but you picked up.

"Tae?" you sounded groggy on the phone. It was cute, it made him smile.

"Did I wake you up?" He asked.

"Well, it's almost one." You hummed. "But it's okay...." He heard you yawn.

"Sorry. You can hang up and head to bed if you want." He said.

"You okay?" You asked curiously.

"Yeah..." he sighed. "I just...wanted to hear your voice before bed, I guess." He heard you giggle a bit, and it made him smile more.
