"Why can't you just stop asking me questions? Don't you understand me? I'm fine." Her voice becomes louder, a hint of frustration and fear takes over.

"Yes, I don't understand you at all! Even if we are soulmates or not, for once I just want to understand you as a friend! Why can't you see that? I care about you, and it's frustrating how you don't even tell me about yourself! I wanted to help you, but you won't let me! Stop being so selfish!" He gasped, he didn't mean to say that to (Y/N).

On the other hand, (Y/N) was shocked and scared at the same time. Tears start to form on her eyes, what he said was eye-opening, but traumatizing because she never sees Sakusa lose his cool. Maybe that was the last straw for him, but she has no words coming out of her mouth. She looked away and disappeared. Sakusa releases a sigh of exasperation not because of (Y/N), but he thinks that his words are foul for her. He didn't really mean to make it this way at all. But first, he himself needs to calm down before approaching her again. Sakusa isn't worried that she might leave his house because he exactly knows where she goes when things like this happen.

And Sakusa was right. He found her in his balcony again, where she always goes whenever she argues with Sakusa or she wants to clear out her thoughts. She never thought of leaving the house because she knows things could get worse, and she knows that Sakusa would do the same thing. He wanted to apologize for what he said earlier, those words were pretty harsh for (Y/N) even if he didn't mean to. With all his courage, he went outside and stared at the night sky with her. Silence was in the air with the cold breeze gently kissing their skins. Things were starting to get awkward for Sakusa.

Why did he even go to his balcony without preparing what to say?

"My dad is a doctor while my mom is a nurse. They both worked a lot, so I rarely see them." She spoke with a hint of pain in her voice.

"I don't have friends in school, maybe I only have one. He was loud and he's passionate about volleyball like you." He looked at her and she had a small smile on her face.

"His name is Kōtarō, and he's a year older than me.." His name sure does sound familiar for Sakusa. She became silent, then she spoke again.

"The girl we saw earlier, I didn't know if I wanted to see her again, after what she did to me." Her voice trembles with a hint of bitterness and sadness at the same time.

"You mean, Yuna? The cheerleading team's vice captain?" Sakusa raises his brows, he knows that she has a crush on him even before (Y/N) came to his life. For him, as long as she doesn't get on his way he doesn't care.

"Yeah, Yuna.. she killed me.."

She said with a blank face, making Sakusa surprised from what he just heard. The vice captain of the cheerleading team of Itachiyama Academy killed his soulmate?

"Back in middle school, she always bullies me. She would always tell me that I'm just a burden to my parents' work that's why they're rarely at home. She would pull my hair or dunk my face in mud, and so much more, you know?" Sakusa is amazed on how this girl has been carrying that bitterness inside her heart, making him a little guilty about earlier.

"I never told this even to my parents, and Kōtarō always stands up for me. When he finally graduated middle school, he said that he would come visit me, and he did. It made Yuna really jealous. Back then, I didn't know that Yuna has feelings for him." She continues and then looks down, sadness starts to blend with the cold breeze.

"It made her more jealous when I passed to where Kōtarō is studying thanks to the scholarship and recommendations, and she didn't pass at Fukurodani Academy. If I was still alive, I'd probably be a second year there." a bittersweet sigh escaped her lips.

"The last year in middle school was hell for me. Yuna kept bullying me, she spread rumors about me sleeping with a lot of guys aside from Kōtarō, but I never did any of them." Sakusa saw how she clenched her fists, that would really feel hell.

"And then graduation came. My parents made a day off for that day and Kōtarō didn't go to class just on my special day. He's definitely the only best friend I have." They both looked at each other.

"My graduation was both happy and depressing because that was the day..

that I died." (Y/N) started floating around.

"How did that happen?" Sakusa went closer to (Y/N).

"When we were celebrating my graduation in a restaurant, Yuna happened to be there as well. She pulled me outside and she smelled like beer. She screams at my face for taking Kōtarō from her. Then she hit the beer bottle to my head and started choking me. My parents and Kōtarō found me too late, and Yuna was speechless because Kōtarō saw it and how she made me fall on the ground."

Anger takes over Sakusa. He didn't know that Yuna would be so heartless for doing that to an innocent girl.

"I was rushed into a hospital, but I am in a deep coma and severely injured. What pains me the most is that my body is still alive and just laying there, but it wouldn't accept me anymore." Her voice trembles. Tears start to form in her eyes. Sakusa reached out his hand to cup her cheeks, there was so much pain in both of their hearts.

"A ghost of an old man happened to pass by, and told me that unless I am not my truest self my body will never accept me. He taught me some ghost techniques, and that if being a ghost happens, as long as I mastered this technique I can be both a human and ghost.

I've been wondering as a ghost around Tokyo.. for 3 years." She said as she wiped away her tears with the help of Sakusa as well.

"Why don't you just try to go back to your body?" (Y/N) shifted his hand, making her hold it. 'His hand feels warm.' She thought. She shook her head and smiled painfully.

"That is my problem. My parents changed the hospital this year, and I still couldn't find my body. I was too careless of not noticing it." She sighs, making Sakusa sweatdrop. He softly chuckles and shakes his head.

"You silly ghost." He pulled her into a hug unexpectedly.

"Ha-? Omi-kun?" He held her a little tighter.

"I want to apologize for what I said earlier. I never knew that you were keeping such bitterness in your heart, but thank you for telling me.." He used his other hand to lift her chin up, he doesn't need to worry about germs, she is a ghost afterall.

".. because now I understand you. Let's start by looking for your body tomorrow, okay?"

Such sweetness in Sakusa's voice made her cry. She cried not because Sakusa was being nice to her, but for once, no orders of laundry or cleaning, and for the first time in three years she felt the feeling of being saved or helped by someone. She tugged his clean shirt, for Sakusa he only felt the tingling wind around him.

Part of him wishes that it was her real body, but that means that she'll be away from him and go to another school, Fukurōdani Academy. Distance would be a challenge for him, but he shouldn't think of those things first. He needs to look for (Y/N)'s body first while taking care of her as well.

"Okay." She closed her eyes and the two youths stayed in their place. Sakusa doesn't know if it's only his imagination, but he felt her warmth for once.
