[The Sheriff & The Kingpin]

22 Years Ago...

As 15year old Spencer Jackson sat in the back seat of his father's official car, fresh of summer camp, he pretends to listen to his father's laughable attempt at making small talks. Meanwhile his actual focus is on his watch counting down the time till he sees his boyfriend again, the past two months was easily the longest of his entire existence. Not being able to see Ty, not being able to touch or kiss him. That was hell.

Spencer's father's car was barely packed in front of their driveway before he jumped out and ran inside. Of course he fell and scratched his left knee on the front steps but he was too excited to care. He vaguely heard his father yell for him to slow down but he doesn't. He ran past his mom who stood in front of the house with her arms open expecting a hug. "Hi mom, bye mom." He greeted as he ran all the way up to his bedroom where he dumps his bag and grabs the spare key to his mother's car he'd made a copy of.

"Where do you think you're going?" His father demanded, blocking him in when he attempted to run out the front door.

"Uh, I'm uh...I'm going to the Jones's, Brandon and I have some school related project to finish." He lied.

"You just got home for Christ sake, it can't wait?" His mom complained from where she stood behind her husband.

"No it can't, can i please go? It's important."

Sheriff Jackson obviously didn't believe his son, but from the eagerness on Spencer's face his dad must've realized he was ready to throw himself two stories down the building from his window if they tried to stop him, so the sheriff reluctantly moves to the side and let his young son run off.

Since Spencer and Tyrone started seeing each other a little over 9months ago, the Jackson cabin in the outskirts of Lakewood has been their spot. It's deep in the woods, no one ever went there, and they could have as much privacy as they wanted.

When Spencer pulled into the driveway of the cabin half an hour later, Ty was already there waiting, he had on his letterman jacket just like Spencer did. Spencer smiles brightly when their eyes meet and ran out of the car into his boyfriend's waiting arms. Their mouths were immediately on each other in a passionate kiss that shook their entire nervous system.
They lose balance and fall to the ground but that doesn't stop them, they continue to make out right there in the open with just the neighboring bushes as their witness.

When they finally come up for air, Tyrone cups Spencer's face gently. "I missed you." The boy whispered.

"Me too." Spencer managed to say through the butterflies in his stomach that made it damn near difficult to speak efficiently. He was only 15years old but he had no doubt in his mind that he'd found his soulmate.
