Third person p.o.v.
Y/n still remembered the first time she met Jimin.
It was the "Go as you like" event at the Great Escape Preschool, the kindergarten she and Jimin used to go to.
"Go show them who's the greatest witch of them all!" Her dad exclaimed before opening the back door of his car and attempting to unbuckle her. But the seat belt seemed to be jammed and the cause of it, which they later realized, was the black cloth of her witch costume. But before they could realize that, her dad in an attempt to pull the seat belt, tore a piece of her costume.
All hell broke loose. As if God had opened the flood Gates of heaven, her tears started falling.
"Shhh...shhh...I'm so sorry princess...it's just one inch though. No one will notice." Her dad tried to reassure her, but nothing would work on a 3 year old girl who just tore her costume. Not to mention, one that her mother worked so hard to put together.
After some more time of her dad reassuring her and trying to stop her from ruining her dress even more than it was, he succeeded in making his girl forget all about it once he mentioned he'd buy her her favorite chicken nuggets later. 3 year olds have simple mindsets.
Later once she bid him adieu, she remembered all about Chingu [A/n: literally translating to Friend]. Chingu was the friend she had made a week back. It was the cute little poppy plant that was there in the back of the school.
Before the event could start, she thought of quickly meeting her friend.
So she ran to the back and once she reached she abruptly stopped at her tracks.
Three kids, all taller than her were surrounding another kid who was on the ground. She couldn't make out what was happening so she went closer and hid behind a tree.
"Hey shorty!!! Where's your height? Did it get lost?"she heard one of the boys say out loud with menace in his tone.
Her brows furrowed at that. And after she heard a blow land on the poor boy on the ground, she was filled with shock and anger.
Before another blow could land on him, she found herself running towards the three tall boys and without a fear in herself knocked the three with her tiny fist one by one.
The three boys, shocked, looked at her and as one would think, the blows definitely didn't effect them in the slightest. They pulled her by the hair and threw her to the ground as well.
But before they could abuse the girl as well, one of the teachers had found them and the boy and her were saved.
That day she lost Chingu as Jimin, the boy with squishy cheeks, had accidentally killed it when he hit the ground. But she had found a new friend instead, the same boy with those adorable squishy cheeks.
...
Y/n also remembered the day she met Mina.
That amazing birthday party Winona, their Korean-American classmate, had arranged.
"Hey Winona, when is everybody else coming?" She asked her.
"Umm...at about 6" the birthday girl replied.
Y/n and another classmate of hers, Mina volunteered to help Winona set up her birthday party. So they came early. Y/n didn't personally know Mina , except that she was really popular and extremely extroverted. Something Y/n could never think of.
But she also noticed that Mina wasn't exactly herself on that specific day. Mina was helping Winona set up but she didn't talk much. It wouldn't take a fool to know that Mina is always talking about something or the other. So, the fact that she wasn't now was shocking none the less.
Y/n chose to ignore it as she got back to work as well, the only exchange of words her having with Mina were regarding the setting up.
Once the area was decorated nicely, they pat themselves on the back and had a mini congratulations party pre the actual birthday party as they opened one of the cookie boxes meant only for the main event.
It was Winona's birthday so if she wanted to have cookies now, she could and the other girls just helped her with it. No biggie.
After the girls finished one box of it, they sent the birthday girl to get ready. And it wasn't until then that Y/n saw Mina run to the bathroom. At first Y/n didn't think much of it. But when she realized that Mina had spent much too much time in there. Something didn't fit right.
So Y/n went up to check on her.
She knocked the door once asking if she was alright. But upon getting no response, she resort to opening the door, which she found wasn't locked.
Mina was lying down on the floor, her legs outstretched and her hands covering her face completely. To say that Y/n was shocked was an understatement.
She ran to the girl on the floor who seemed to be crying. Y/n quickly took her in an embrace trying to comfort the weeping girl.
Y/n wasn't good at consoling people or ask what their problem was. She thought it was invading their privacy.
But she knew that the girl in front of her needed solace and comfort and Y/n was here for it.
She didn't force Mina to speak or to tell her what was troubling her. They spent the whole party normally as if nothing had happened.
Except two girls in the party knew that one of the girls had cried and the other had comforted.
Y/n had kept her eyes on Mina the whole time that evening.
And once the party was over, they went back to their houses.
One would think that whatever had happened that day ended there.
But both the girls knew that they had created an intimacy they knew they couldn't ignore.
Mina later came up to Y/n during their lunch break the day after the party. She told her everything that was troubling her.
And that definitely wasn't the last day they would talk during lunch breaks. Soon it turned into them never leaving their sides all through school life and even after.
On that faithful birthday party, Y/n had found another friend she could rely on.
...
BUT BOTH HER FRIENDS WERE NOW DATING???
...
[A/n: omg what was this lmao.... I put this out in a haste so I don't know if it turned out good lol.
I hope everybody is staying inside and washing their hands. Lets all pray that this time gets over real fast, and let's be alert and not ignorant.
Stay safe. Be happy.
Peace out. ✊]
