Play the song, babies! (I have heard about this artist a lot and I don't regret listening to his songs).
He covers his face and it looks like he is wiping away fresh tears.
"Leo .." I call his name gently, afraid he would run away.
He turns around slowly and I see his sorrow filled eyes with tears almost pouring out. He looks pathetic, his features with more shadows than ever.
"Hey ... Y/N." He says quietly, as if afraid to lose control over his composure.
"You ... are you okay?" I ask and move closer. His clothes are wrinkled and his hair a mess, almost covering his eyes.
"Yeah. There was smoke coming from the other house and it filled my house. So I stepped out to get some fresh air." He explains quickly. He looks around, trying to come up with more excuses.
"Ohh ... do you want to stay at my house for a while?" I offer, gesturing towards my house.
His eyes shift in uncertainty and then he closes his eyes and nods. I smile slightly. "Come on then!" I hold his hand and pull him in the direction.
He pushes back his hair and looks at me through his tears. He smiles softly as he walks.
His figure looms over me as I open the door and let him in. He walks in behind me and looks around.
"I'll get you some lunch. You look tired." I recommend as I place my bag on the floor, next to the sofa. "Just wait here!"
He doesn't reply but just sits down and leans back onto the soft sofa. He closes his eyes and nods. He seems afraid to even say a word.
I head to kitchen and heat up the food mom had kept in the refrigerator before heading to work with dad.
I am really worried about him. Really really worried. But if he doesn't want to talk about it, then I shouldn't force him, right?
My thoughts circle me as I serve the food on a neat plate and walk to Leo. His eyes are still closed, his body looks weak and fragile.
"Leo ..." I repeat his name gently as I place the plate on the dining table. I walk to him and place my hand carefully on his shoulder.
His eyes open wide. He looks like he has just woken up from a nightmare. He quickly gets up and whispers a thank you before heading to the dining table and eating.
I sigh and walk towards him. I sit down next to him. I observe him like a new person as he eats slowly.
His eyes are distant, distracted. He looked so different, so tortured, and I don't know what I can do to help.
He stops half way through his meal and places his spoon down. He looks at me, I blink and pretend like I wasn't staring at him.
"Y/N ..... what ... uh ... do you think .... that .. I am bad?" He asks me, his voice desperate as he leans to me.
"No. Of course not. You're amazing." I reply, trying to sound as confident as I can.
"You do?" He says, his eyes move down then back up. "Do you think I am turning bad? That I could turn bad?" He asks again.
"I don't know. I don't think so. You're just so .. good, it's hard to imagine you like that." I reply.
Why was he talking like this? What had happened to derail him so badly?
Double update!!!!!
I really hope everyone is enjoying the story.
By the way, I saw Phantom of the Opera (the Musical) yesterday and I cannot stop thinking about it. I absolutely loved it.
Has anyone here seen it? What are you thoughts?
Tell me your thoughts in the comments and vote for this chapter if you like it.
