Chapter twenty five.

Play the song, babies! (Another Lofi gem)

"Okay, so you can bring the finished pages tomorrow and we can finish it at school. I already wrote down the applications." Ken explains as we walk to the gate.

"Yeah, our first Saturday class of the year, wow! If we are done, we can submit it by Monday!" I reply as I look over our notes.

"Three days before the deadline! That's a record for this this, let's see how many time we can beat it." He says with a smile.

"You got it, partner!" I give him a high five and then he walks away. The school is nearly deserted right now as we had stayed back again to work on our project.

I walk slowly as I look at the sky with its beautiful clouds. It looks so calm and gentle.

"Y/N!" Leo walks up to me and says, "Had a stay back again?"

I nod and point to the sky. "It looks beautiful today, right?" He smiles at me.

"Yeah. It is. Remember during church camp, when we sneaked out to see the stars at midnight?" He comments.

"Yes. We did it every year. We still haven't been caught yet!" I exclaim as we walk along.

"This year's will be the last time with me." Leo states. "But don't stop the tradition."

"You can look out at the stars from your hostel room on the university campus." I say and look at him.

He looks so tall next to me, I remember a time when I was the taller one, but that was long ago. Lots has changed since then. Maybe there are changes I am not even aware of.

What is he hiding? What was his episode about?

"What's got your mind so worked up?" He asks. "You look worried."

"It's just stuff. Here and there. School has been quite busy lately." I divert the topic.

"True. And we have Saturday classes starting tomorrow!" He sighs and shakes his head.

"And Sunday is church day so not break then too." I add on.

"Yeah. With all these morning and evening classes, it's been really tiring. Well, see you later then! At 11 as usual!" He heads into his house.

I say bye and head towards my house. As I am about to open the gate, I hear Ken's voice calling my name.

I turn around to see him running towards me. He pants as soon as he stops and hands me my notebook.

"You .... forgot ... this." He says between breaths.

"Ohh thank you!" I say as I extend my water bottle. "You shouldn't have ran!"

He grabs the bottle. "I didn't want you to get worried about it." He says and takes a few sips.

"Thank you again!" I say as he walks back and wave at him.

I enter my house and take a long warm shower before getting back to studies.
