Chapter 9

Second Person POV

"Tell me something Senku, (Y/n), are you guys going to bring back all the greedy black-hearted adults who ruined the world we came from? We live in the stone world now, a paradise that isn't overruled by greed. I think we should only bring back the young and pure-hearted, I want to make sure this world stays natural and not owned by anyone. This is our chance to purify humanity, don't you agree with me," Tsukasa said turning around waiting for our approval.

This guy's going to be trouble, but if we didn't revive when we did, we would have been lion chow. The situation forced our heads, now that we know he only wants to bring back the young, then I know we have to stay tight-lipped about the revival fluid.

"Hey, you guys, check this out, I got a whole pot of miracle fluid from the cave, now we can bring back Yuzuriha!!" Taiju shouted running towards us.

No way, how could he be so stupid, even after Senku and I told him to be wary around Tsukasa he still runs around shouting. While Senku and I facepalmed Tsukasa examined the clay jar intrigued as to what it was.

"So what's this miracle fluid you've been talking about?" Tsukasa stated wanting to figure out why he hadn't known about this sooner. 

Of course, Senku had told you what it was, you guys just didn't trust Tsukasa enough yet to actually let him know. Sure he was helping you but trusting him would have taken a long time, he was a stranger to the two of you so you had full right to keeps secrets from him, especially now since you had just recently found out his recent motives.

"I'm not going to waste my breath trying to explain what it is, I'll just show you, you're lucky, you're going to witness humanity's revival first hand."

Timeskip

With a small smile, Taiju looked at Yuzuriha's petrified state.

"Okay Yuzuriha, I promised we'd save you and it's happening for real this time."

Grabbing her shoulders Taiju examined the statue. "What the hell, for some reason we don't have enough revival fluid for even one person," Senku said, looking towards him you knew right from the moment those words left his mouth they were lies.

"What!" Taiju freaked out, "did I really get it too soon!!"

"Just grab some more, we'll just hang back and play 20 questions or something," Senku reassured gazing towards Tsukasa.

Just as Taiju was about to get going Tsukasa grabbed his shoulder.

"I'm the fastest so it only makes sense for me to go, but I'll need to know exactly where to find this miracle fluid."

Yep, I knew he couldn't resist taking the bait, once he finds the source of the miracle fluid and decides to keep it for himself, there's a ten billion percent chance he'll stop my plan of bringing everyone back, Senku thought.

Quickly running into the forest Tsukasa left the three of you standing in place. "Guys since he's gone I think we should hurry up and revive Yuzuriha, there's no way of telling when he'll be back," you said gazing towards the two boys.

"Yeah, what she said," Senku added.

Pouring in the necessary components to make the miracle fluid, me and Senku began making it as fast as possible. "What's going on, you literally said there wasn't enough revival fluid," Taiju looked at the two of us confused.

"Do you actually think I would set out a collection pot that was the wrong size?" Senku said waiting for me to finish stirring the fluid. 

"Of course you wouldn't, wait if we already had enough why did you send Tsukasa out to get some more?"

"It's a calculated risk, I wanted him gone before we brought Yuzuriha back, even if it meant revealing the location of the cave."

"But why would do that? Tsukasa's like totally awesome."

"That's why he's too much to handle, he wants to remake this world so only the strong survive. And if I may, that kind of thinking doesn't move me one millimeter," you said trying to do your best Senku impression.

"Yeah okay, no need to explain, something happened when I was gone huh," Taiju said getting a grip on the situation.

"Shishio Tsukasa is an awesome guy, though it turns out, he's a murderer."

Timeskip

"Yuzuriha I'm here just like I said," Taiju was about to pour the miracle fluid on her head before Senku took it out of his hands and quickened the process.

"You just dumped it, we should be like, you know!!" 

"I'm sorry Taiju but we need to hurry, we still don't know when Tsukasa is coming back so the sooner we leave the chances of him finding us with decrease," you stated calmly.

"Senku why is nothing happening, is she okay, why isn't the stone coming off of her!?!"

"Well the reaction isn't instantaneous the petrifaction is much like cryostasis, the stone shell acts as a protective coating made from trace metals in the body, an unknown process causes them to phase-shift." 

"Nice one Senku, like always I have no idea what you said."

"Just give it a moment Taiju."

As if doves were flying around Taiju's prayers were finally granted, one by one little cracks began to form, little cracks turned into bigger cracks which began to fall off. Just as Yuzuriha was about to fall Taiju caught her, it looked like a real-life romance movie. 

"Yuzuriha, please open your eyes."

Quietly Yuzuriha whispered, "Is that you, Taiju?" 

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you wait 3,700 years."

"What's going on, I feel like I've been asleep forever, but still, it feels like you saved me, you did, you did right? You saved me from something, thank you."

"It wasn't me, Senku did all the work, he spent a whole year working on the revival fluid."

Stepping in Senku apologized, "Sorry for stepping in on your big moment but we need to make a decision for when he gets back, there are only two options so chose carefully. Plan A, the three of you run out this instant and find a new place to live, the farther the better, or plan B, we stick together and use the weapons of civilization to put an end to Tsukasa's murder spree."

"Senku, you should know very well that none of us are going to leave you behind," you said smiling towards him.

"Yeah, I have no idea what's going on but I'll help whoever I can," Yuzuriha added.

"I'm not making any assumption or trying to be nice, I just thought the most logical thing to do was give you an option."

"Listen, if Tsukasa is killing people then we have no choice but to-"

"So I'm killing people?"

Looking behind Senku you saw the one and only Tsukasa standing there in all his glory.
