Narration POV
Like he said he would Senku and Chrome kidnaped old man Kaseki.
After showing him their failed attempts on making science glassware Kaseki and his pride in making things as a craftsman wouldn't let this go by, reluctantly he began helping Senku and his kingdom of science.
After that it wasn't all that hard, all they had to do was find materials and create new inventions and from there on out creating the sulfa drug would be a piece of cake. With Kaseki on their side, they were able to create enough glassware to fill an entire laboratory.
After acquiring all the glassware they needed Senku and Chrome made their way to gather a substance named sulfuric acid. When that was done Senku had asked Kaseki to make a water condenser, after showing him the blueprints on how to make it Kaseki got straight to work.
With that done Senku was able to acquire three new substances, hydrochloric acid, chlorosulfonic acid, and finally, sodium hydroxide. The next thing they needed wasn't something they had to acquire by searching for it, all they had to do was urinate into a glass and finally, they had acquired ammonia.
When it came time for the grand bout Senku and his kingdom of science had succeeded in winning and in doing so they earned vinegar, alcohol, and permission to enter the village. Senku had also succeeded in winning the award for getting married and divorced the fastest.
After given some time Kaseki finished the water carbonation Senku had asked for, and with some help from the materials known as tar and aniline, Senku was able to make carbonated water.
And finally, from that, he made acetic anhydride, para-acetamidobenzenesulfonic acid, and with a little help from sodium bicarbonate, Senku had finally finished making the all-cure, sulfa-drug, sulfanilamide.
...
When the time came and Ruri finally got better both you and Senku had begun working on an invention called the cellphone. The first thing we did was create a gear using Kohaku's shield, by borrowing one of Kaseki's many saws.
When Chrome and Kaseki were off what you thought was goofing off you and Senku were off doing something important, like finding different types of materials and making blueprints. When morning a rose you and Senku were called towards the river by Chrome who was ever so happy.
As time passed and you made your way towards the river Chrome and Kaseki asked you to be, your eyes widen. Both Senku and yourself were both very surprised, Chrome and Kaseki were able to create a waterwheel without even knowing what it was.
Smiling, Senku announced that they were finally going to have a better generator, with the help of a hydroelectric power plant. Thinking about it you and Chrome began to update your furnace, just thinking about the work you wouldn't have to do when it was completed made Chrome work faster than ever before.
When you and Chrome finally finished Senku came up to the two of you showing you the mercury vacuum (pump) he made. With the newly acquired materials, Kaseki was finally able to make a lightbulb. In celebration of the village's hard work, Senku and yourself wanted to reward them.
Attaching a bunch of lightbulbs to a tree you made sure you covered most of it, you didn't want the sight unpleasant so this was what you had to do. When it struck midnight you called every villager and made them gather around the tree.
Counting to three in his head Senku flipped the switch he made, turning on all of the lightbulbs the two of you yelled, "Merry Christmas!!"
...
A month after the Christmas tree incident Senku thought the mineral Tungsten would be liable a material to keep around so getting was something he wanted to do.
As Senku, Chrome, and Magma made their way to find the Tungsten you took blueprints for a certain project you had wanted to work on and so made sure at least everyone in the village helped make it.
The day Senku and the others arrived back was the day you and the others finally finished the observatory. Covering Senku's eyes you led him inside, you didn't want to spoil the surprise so letting him see it so soon wasn't an option.
Taking your hands off his eyes he looked around. Amazed at what he saw, he realized that the one person who knew about his liking towards space was you. In other words, it meant you were probably the mastermind behind all of this.
"Happy birthday, Senku."
...
Realizing you were missing a liability you talked to Senku about making a cellphone.
Of course, there'd be no way in hell he'd turn your suggestion down so by using some: formalin, manganese batteries, Rochelle salt, gold wire, a Hickman pump, plastic, a vacuum tube, and, a microphone, you were finally able to create it.
Days after the creation of the cellphone Senku revealed that the disc he found near his father's gravestone was, in fact, an audio record. After polishing it up Senku and yourself created a recorder and played it.
After listening to it everyone agreed from that day forward that they would listen to whatever Senku had said. Now all that was left to do was go to war with Tsukasa's empire.
