Amber awoke with a start. Expecting to be hit in the face, she wasn't. Instead, Jack was shaking her. Waking her up.
"Hey, sleepyhead. Get up." She jokingly slapped him and turned on her other side. Falling back asleep instantly.
"Rise and shine!" He yelled, opening the curtains. Amber groaned. Sitting up and head-butting Jack.
"Sorry." She mumbled, rubbing the now red patch on her forehead.
Jack and Amber walked towards the bathroom. Jack opened the door. "Ja, good morning, Dunkers, Amie!"
Immediately, the door was closed again. "See you guys at breakfast!"
Jack and Amber share a look. "Who gave him permission to call me Amie?" She wondered. Jack shrugged.

Tired. Amber was tired of hearing the foreign exchange student speak to them as if they were all friends.
"Look, guys, I feel we could be friends if you just gave me a chance on this." Stig told the two.
"Look, you're a nice enough guy. But, it's just not gonna work." Jack shook his head.
"Dunkers, Amie, why not?"
"Because, I can't be seen around you and I'm pretty sure Amber doesn't like you. And stop calling us Dunkers and Amie!"
"Why can't you be seen with me? And why doesn't Amber like me?" Stig questioned, sounding hurt at this information.
"You wanna know why?"
"Yeah."
Amber sighed, patting Jack's shoulder. "You make me UBC." He stated, making Amber shake her head.
"More like the other way around." She joked in her head. "Ubc?" Stig questioned, saying it as if ubc was a word.
"No, you-- Ugly by comparison. Look, when I'm not around you, I am a strong six, weak seven. But when I am around you, I'm barely a three, like, barely!"
Amber looked at Stig. "I don't like you because Jack doesn't like you." She shrugged.
"Yeah, but, guys, I don't know anybody at school." The two bestfriends share a look before looking behind Stig.
"Trust us, you're gonna have no trouble making friends." The girls staring at him all giggled.
Amber and Jack walked to sit by Fareeda and Jodi. The two girls stared at him. "Guys, come on, he's not that attractive, is he?"
"Yes." Both girls replied in sync as Jack and Amber share a look of disgust. Jack scoffed. "Well, try living with him."
"Okay." Fareeda and Jodi replied to Jack in unison. Amber looked off to the side and her eyes caught Mason's.
Jack looked to his bestfriend, but sighed, watching her stare at someone else. For some reason, he felt his heart break.
Kimmy had got up and started walking towards Stig. "Well, this is about to get interesting." Fareeda watched Kimmy's every move.
Mason got up and walked towards the four. "Mind if I sit?" He questioned. "No, not at all." Amber moved closer to Jack as Emily had approached after Mason.
Mason took the seat next to Amber and Emily next to Mason. More girls approached Stig's table as the six watched it.
"Like sharks to chum." Jodi replied to Fareeda. Stig looked to that table and caught Jodi's eye, occasionally looking at Amber.
Jack put a hand on his head as Jodi stood. "I'm going in." She said to her friend group, plus the two extras.
Fareeda turns in confusion. "You are?" Jodi looked at Stig for a few seconds before turning to the group again. "No, of course I'm not... going in."
Emily rolled her eyes, "Obviously you're not!" Kimmy started having a stare down with all the girls surrounding the jumbo Swede.
"This is like watching a UFC cage match." Jack stated, looking at Jodi and Fareeda, before his eyes travelled to Amber, who seemed to be lost in thought.
"But with less body slams and more crop tops." Fareeda nodded, and when Amber snapped back into reality, she immediately stood and left the hall.
The bell rang a minute after she left as no one bothered to go after her. "Oh, oh, oh, oh! And we have a winner! Ah!"

Emily and Amber were sitting in the library. Like planned. "So, Mason told me to give you his number. He thinks you're really cute and would love to go on a date with you."
"A date? With a hot, popular guy? One that isn't Jack?" She thought to herself.
"You have to get over Jack!" Emily yelled, shaking Amber's shoulders. Everyone who was in the library looked their direction and Amber's eyes widened.
"Sorry." Emily muttered. "Okay, fine, I'll go on the date with him." Amber mumbled, making Emily smirk. "Perfect."
"Hopefully this helps me get over Jack." She muttered once Emily left. Mason sat himself down next to her.
"Did Emily tell you?"

It had been a week and Mason and Amber were now dating. They had hung out everyday since they started dating and Jack didn't know how he was feeling.
Amber was with Emily as she told her about the date She had got back from. "It was really cute!" She exclaimed, happily.
Jealously, Emily slammed her food on the table and left. "What's the deal with her?" Amber questioned no one in particular.
A pair of hands covered her eyes. "Guess who?" Amber smiled at the familiar voice. "The super hot guy I call my boyfriend?"
Jack watched from afar, sipping the grape smoothie he made for her. She had declined the smoothie for the first time, simply because of Mason.
Mason had told her to stop drinking what she was drinking and stop eating what she was eating, he couldn't be seen with someone like her.
He'd rather date someone really skinny, like, Emily for example. Mason pushed the food away from Amber and helped her stand up.
"Hey, I'm Harper and I'm going to snatch your girl." Harper told Mason, pulling Amber away from him.

"Lipstick." Helaine told the worker. "Lady danger." The sales woman told the mom of the two girls. "Mm, too vampy."
"Crème cup." Amber sighed, placing a hand on Harper's arm. "Not vampy enough."
"Speak louder."
"Not vampy enough!" Helaine raised her voice. "No, no, no, that's just the name of this one, speak louder." The sale lady chuckled.
"My bad."
