Jodi turned to her parents, taking the attention off of Amber, seeing she was clearly uncomfortable.
"Okay, please don't embarrass me."
"Never." Richie deadpanned while Helaine nodded along. "Yeah."
Once Jodi faced the front Richie leaned into his wife. "I'm so going to embarrass her."
Jodi and Amber share a look. "Me too." Helaine exclaimed. The two adults start to laugh.
"Ladies and gentlemen, your Teen Miss Louisiana contestants!"
Everyone clapped as the first girl walked on while Amber faked a yawn. She lifted her leg in a way Amber couldn't.
Then she done some other stuff. "Unbore me." She muttered to Jodi.
"Well, I feel like going to Dunkleman's party after this. You're coming with me." Amber's jaw dropped. "No way!" She giggled, covering her mouth.
"Who gave you drugs?" Jodi questioned as the parents give them a look.
"I told you, Jod. I don't do drugs. It's just marijuana." She joked, rolling her eyes. Jodi chuckled.
The next girl done some magic. "What is this?" Amber questioned Jodi, who was too busy looking for any sign of Stig.
Amber sighed and placed a hand on her hand. "I don't think he's coming, Jod."
Jodi faced her. "He his. He said he'd come if I'm his date to Homecoming."
The next girl started to beatbox. "I can do that." Amber exclaims loudly, making people hush her. She just gave them the finger in return.
Then, it was Harper Kreyman. "Yay, Harp!" Amber screamed and Harper have her a smile while blowing a kiss.
"That outfit is perfect on her." Amber mumbled, while her now parents nodded.
Jodi continued to look around. A man placed a blindfold around Harper's eyes and tied it.
She picked up a sword looking thing, but it was smaller than a sword. Way smaller. She threw it, then got another, and then another.
On the last try she had hit bullseye with the other two right next to it. Amber cheered loudly, and Harper blew a kiss at where she knew Amber was sitting.
Amber bit her lip, going on her phone.
Amber: Harper looks stunning in her dress. Shame you couldn't see it.
Delivered: 8:34pmAmber: Mason? Hellooooo
Delivered: 8:45pmAmber: Let me know once you charge your phone xo
Delivered: 8:50pm"Miss Harper Kreyman everyone!"
Everyone clapped and Amber looked up to see Harper holding a microphone. "I guess the one way that I would work to make the world a better place is by using my hotel management skills, which..."
She glanced at Jodi and Amber and noticed their sad look. They both held eye contact with her and Harper glanced between them both.
"Where is he?" She mouthed to her biological sister and adopted sister. "Don't worry." Jodi mouthed back.
The Kreyman's looked at their daughters. Harper gave them both a look. "Which is all about meeting and exceeding guest expectations. Now, wouldn't it be great if we could meet and exceed guest expectations."
Harper looked at her mother. "In the on going Middle East conflict?" Harper finished while Helaine Kreyman mouthed along.
Everyone cheered, Amber being the loudest, and once again, Harper blew Amber a kiss. "Thank you so much."

The car ride was deathly quiet. So quiet you could probably hear a pin drop. Harper was sat in the middle as the two sixteen year olds wanted window seats.
"In your face, Miss Teen Shreveport!" Harper yelled before sneezing. Not once but twice. Harper exhaled as her mother let out two Oh's.
Harper fixed her tiara. "I'm gonna kill that kid when I see him." Richie said, making Amber raise a hand.
"Actually, I will beat you to it." Amber deadpanned. "Don't talk like that. Either of you." Helaine scolded, and Amber sighed.
"I'm serious. I'm gonna run over Stig with the car." Richie told his wife.
"Yes, and I'll make him stand In front of it. Without him knowing the car is coming, obviously." Amber piped in.
"Okay, then you'll go to jail and you'll be grounded."
Helaine looked back at Amber and Amber shrunk in her seat. "Yeah, well, I'll do my time like a man, because no one stands up my daughter, you hear me? No one stands up my daughter!"
Richie turned to Jodi, not noticing the car. "Watch the road!" Helaine yelled as the car honked.
Richie hit his hand on the wheel, before yelling: "Nobody!"

Jodi and Amber entered Dunkleman's house. They both looked around for the same person.
Stig.
Looking into the living room, Amber saw Jack dancing with Liz. Mason and Emily were talking, not one of them seeing Amber making her sigh sadly.
"Jodi." Stig said, making the two girls turn around. Amber cleared her throat. "What am I? Chopped liver?"
"Ah, Jodi, I'm--I'm sorry. Can I explain, please?" He begged.
"Please, yeah, explain." Jodi nodded. "I had to help Dunkers with the party all day, and then people started showing up early, and, I don't know, it got crazy. And, honestly, I lost track of time. I'm sorry."
"Bullshit!" Amber yelled in his face. "Bullshit! Bullshit! Bull-fucking-shit!" A few people stared at the girl, who was wearing a tight leather purple dress, with a cropped black leather jacket, her hair was in a messy bun and she was wearing black heels.
Jodi placed a hand over Amber's lips. "Okay, so, did you talk to Kimmy?" Jodi wondered, raising an eyebrow.
She removed her hand from the girl's mouth. "Yeah, jumbo Swede, did you?" Amber spat, placing her hands on her hips.
"I was going to, I was, but, then she kept getting pulled into conversations, and I wanted, like, a quiet moment to do it, you know. So, I just--"
"Stig, Stig, quick selfie, dude." A boy approached, holding his phone up. "Yeah. All right, yeah."
After the boy left, Amber popped her hip to the side. The second Stig locked eyes with Jodi, she looked down.
"You're not breaking up with Kimmy."
