Chapter Nine

Luke: (his face is covered with panic and a fiery anger.)

Noah: (looks around pissed off)(he looks up to Scarlet and locks eyes with Luke)(Noah storms up to Luke) What the hell! You said you were going to keep an eye on her!!

Luke: You don't understand, as soon as I went to reach for her when the lights were out, she was gone.

Noah: Whatever happened, all we know is that she's gone.

Luke: We need to go after Daniel. He has her.

Noah: where would he take her?

Luke: I don't know. (pauses for a moment) Her phone.

Noah: What?

Luke: (walking to her car)(Noah chases after him) I can track her phone and that will lead us to the last place she was. We need to go back to the house.

Noah: I need to go after her, he'll kill her.

Luke: What you need to do is stay with me, two heads are better than one. (raises voice)

Noah: We have no time to waste-

Luke: If you do something stupid Noah, she will get killed, now sit your ass in the car so we can bring her home safe!

Noah: (goes to protest but sits in the car) If she dies because we were too late, I will end you.

Luke: (talking to himself) Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

(scene flashes to Scarlet tied up in a dark van. There is smudged plexiglas and dried up blood on the floor of the van. The driver goes over a bump and Scarlet's body bounces. She is gagged and bound by ropes.)

Scarlet: (she is coming to realisation and opens her eyes starting to freak out. She manages to keep quiet to overhear the two men on the other side of the glass)

Driver: You think she's asleep?

Shotgun: (Scarlet closes her eyes and pretends to sleep)(the shotgun peeps over to look at a "sleeping" Scarlet) No. (laughs) No wonder she can't book acting gigs. She sucks at faking.

Scarlet: (contemplates opening her eyes but remains silent trying to free her bound hands)(they arrive at a location that feels like a dirt road. The driver shuts off the engine and slams the door. (Scarlet grips her earring in her hand with the backing like a knife)(the driver opens the back and grabs her roughly)

Driver: (he looks in his 30's. A tall, smoker with a muscle shirt on and smoldering brown eyes) Good morning princess. Welcome to hell. (she knees him in the nuts and stabs him in the neck with the earring)

Shotgun: (he runs around the corner and shoves her to the ground.)(Scarlet lets out a groan)(he kicks her in the stomach a few times and she is crumpled up in a ball. He grabs her by the neck and punches her in the nose. Her eyes are filled with tears as he punches her in the mouth to then throw her to the ground. She remains conscious as she wipes the pooling blood from under her nose and busted up eyebrow.)

(the shotgun goes over to the driver)

Shotgun: Cade are you okay? (he pulls the earring out of his neck)

Cade: I'm fine. I'm just going to teach this little brat a lesson. (He gets up and Scarlet gets up fast. She tries to run away but she hunches over in pain)

Cade: (grabs her hair and pulls her into a headlock) Now listen here princess, I'm going to give you the chance to run away, a 10 second head start. I'd be scared. (he lets her go) 1...
