Sonics New Family (A Sequel to the Sonic Movie)

New School

The next day Tails woke up before everyone else. He opened his eyes and saw a gray blanket on him and Sonic. He yawned and tried to go back to sleep but then Sonic woke up. Tails kept his eyes closed while Sonic tried to get up without bothering Tails. Sonic walked to the bathroom and started brushing his teeth. When he finished he walked back into the living room and saw Tails awake. "Good morning!" Sonic said. "Good morning!" Tails said with a small smile on his face. Sonic walked over to Tails and sat beside him. "What are we gonna do today?" Tails asked. Sonic thought for a moment. "I don't know. Hopefully something fun!" Sonic said with a big smile on his face. Tails smiled and looked around. "I love it here." Tails said. Sonic looked at Tails, then out a window. "Yeah it's pretty nice." Sonic said with a small smile upon his face."Have you been here your whole life?" Tails asked. Sonics smile suddenly turned to a frown. "No... I used to live in another world when I was younger. I had to keep my powers a secret though but then they found out about them and tried to... kill me." Sonic said. Tails stared at him in shock. "So then my guardian Long Claw gave me a bag of rings and told me to go to this world." Sonic added. Tails looked at Sonic sadly before giving him a hug. "I'm sorry you had to go though that." Tails said. Sonic hugged back. "It's ok... at least I'm here now and I'm safe." Sonic said. Just then Tom walked in. "Good morning boys." Tom said. "Good morning!" Sonic and Tails said in sync. "You guys want some breakfast?" Tom asked. "Yes please!" Tails said before running to the kitchen. Sonic followed behind him. Sonic and Tails sat at the table and at some waffles. Maddie and Tom looked before Tom spoke up. "So... me and Maddie were thinking if you guys would want to go to school." Tom said. Sonic had a huge smile on his face while Tails had a terrified look on his face. Maddie noticed Tails looking scared. "Are you ok Tails?" Maddie asked. Tails looked up at her and shook his head. "I don't wanna go to school." Tails said. Sonic looked at Tails with a shocked face. "What! Come on Tails! There's nothing to be afraid of, and if anything happens I'll protect you!" Sonic said. Tails smiled. "Thanks." Tails said. "So, what do you think?" Maddie said. Sonic and Tails looked at each other before looking back at Tom and Maddie. "I'll do it!" Sonic said. "Awesome! What about you Tails?" Tom said. Tails thought about it for a moment before agreeing to go. "Yaaay!" Sonic yelled. "Ok so your school should start in about an hour." Maddie said. "Wait you already signed us up?" Sonic asked. "Yeah heh." Maddie said. "But we don't have a backpack and all that stuff!" Sonic said. Maddie smirked before going out to the garage to grab something. She came back with a blue backpack and a yellow one. "Wow!" Sonic said. "These are so cool!!" Tails shouted. Maddie gave them both their backpacks and then went to go make them their lunches for school. "I'm so excited!" Sonic said. "I wonder what it's like!" Tails said. After they got their stuff ready they left to go to the school. They arrived at the school and Sonic and Tails got out of the car. "We love you guys!" Tom said. "Have a good day and good luck!" Maddie said. "Goodbye!" Sonic said. "Bye bye!" Tails said while waving. Maddie and Tom drove off and Sonic and Tails walked into the school. The two boys were walking in the halls that were filled with people. Just then someone walked right in front of them. "Ah!" Tails yelled and grabbed Sonics hand. Sonic looked down at his and he squeezed it. "It's ok Tails." Sonic said in a calming manner. Tails nodded and they continued to walk through the crowded hallway. They finally reached their classroom and they stopped and stared at the door. "Are you ready Tails?" Sonic asked. Tails hesitated for a moment but then nodded. Sonic reached for the door handle and opened it. Tails squeezed Sonics hand while the door opened. The teacher looked at them both and smiled. "These are our new students children!" The teacher said. Sonic and Tails walked in and stood next to the teacher. They noticed people whispering. "The yellow one has two tails!" One of The children whispered.  "Look at that one he's blue!" Another child whispered. "My name is Mrs Sills. Now what are your names?" The teacher now known as Mrs Sills asked. " um I'm Sonic and this is Tails." Sonic said. The class said a really depressing "hello." The two boys went to where their desks were and they sat down. "I don't like it when they stare Sonic!" Tails whispered. "It's ok Tails this happens to every new student." Sonic whispered back. "I think." He said to himself. Sonic and Tails made it through the half the day and it was finally recess. All the kids dashed outside while Sonic and Tails just walked. They looked at all the kids playing. Where do you want to play?" Sonic asked. Tails looked around and saw that the monkey bars were empty. "Let's go over there!" Tails said while pointing at the monkey bars. "Ok!" Sonic said and they both zoomed over there. They were playing on the bars until someone came up to them. "Crystal!?" Sonic shouted. "Hi Sonic! Hi Tails!" Crystal said. The boys got off the monkey bars and Sonic hugged Crystal hugged back. "I missed you!" Sonic said. "I missed you too!" Crystal said. "Wanna play on the monkey bars with us?" Tails asked. "Sure!" After recess it was math. Mrs Sills handed out work sheets for everyone. "Fractions?" Sonic said. He looked at Tails and noticed he was easily doing it. Sonic groaned and tried to do his own work. After math was all done they had to clean up the classroom and go home. Sonic and Tails grabbed their backpacks and walked outside and saw Tom their to pick them up. Sonic and Tails climbed into the car and they drove off. "Sooo? How was your first day of school?" Tom asked. "It was awesome!" Sonic said. "Yeah! We had so much fun!" Tails said. "But JoJo wasn't their." Sonic said sadly. "But my friend Crystal was!" Sonic said. "Cool!" Tom said. "Where's Maddie?" Tails asked. "She's at home making dinner." Tom said. They reached home and they all got out and went inside. Maddie had dinner all ready so they ate dinner, did their nightly routine and then went to bed.
