Swimming lessons

The next morning Maddie woke up before everyone. She went into the kitchen and made a big breakfast for them. Then she quietly went upstairs to Sonic and Tails's room. She crept in their and went up to Sonics bed. "Sonic." Maddie whispered. Sonic only grunted and rolled over. "Wake up!" Maddie said while poking Sonics shoulder. Finally Sonic opened his eyes and stared at Maddie. "Whyyy!" Sonic whined. Maddie huffed. "Because I made a big breakfast and we're going to do something special today." Maddie said. Sonic gasped and jumped out of bed. "What are we doing!!" Sonic shouted. Maddie shushed Sonic and brought him downstairs. "It's a surprise!" Maddie said. "Awww please tell me!!" Sonic pleaded. Maddie looked down at Sonic. "Go wake up Tom and Tails. Then we'll tell you guys." Maddie said. Sonic nodded and then dashed off. He ran into Toms room first. He jumped onto the bed and bounced around. "Wake up wake up wake uppp!!!" Sonic shouted. Tom groaned and looked up at Sonic. "What time is it." Tom asked. "It's 7:30!! So that means it's time to wake up!" Sonic said. Tom just groaned again and put his head under his pillow. Sonic frowned and then jumped onto Tom. "Geeeet uuuuup!!!" Sonic yelled. Tom then jumped up and tackled Sonic and tickled him. "Ahhhh noooo!!" Sonic said while laughing. Tom continued to tickle Sonic. "AHH NUUUU TOM STAAP!!!" Sonic yelled while laughing his head off. Maddie then walked in. "Alright you too that's enough." She said while chuckling. "Go wake up Tails he is still sleeping." Maddie said before walking out. "Oh yeah!" Sonic said before zooming upstairs. He ran into his room and jumped onto Tails's bed. "Sonic?" Tails said. "Wake uup!!" Sonic said. Tails then got up and ran downstairs with Sonic. Then both sat down at the table and started to eat their breakfast. "Sooo Maddie..." Sonic said. "Hmm?" Maddie responded. "About that surprise." Sonic said while grinning. Tails's head then shot up. "Surprise!? I love surprises!!" Tails shouted. Maddie looked at Tom and then back at the two boys. "Well me and Tom decided we would have a fun day today all together so we're gonna go to a public pool!" Maddie said. Tails cheered while Sonic just sat there quietly. Tom noticed Sonics odd behaviour. "Sonic? What's wrong?" Tom asked. Sonic looked at Tom. "I can't swim..." Sonic said. Tom put a hand on Sonic shoulder. "It's ok Sonic we can teach you!" Tom said. Sonic looked up and smiled. "Okie!"

About 15 minutes later they were all getting ready to go. "Do you guys have everything you need?" Maddie asked. Sonic and Tails both put their thumbs up and smiled. "Alrighty then." Maddie said. They all walked outside and got into the car. When they got to the pool Sonic got a bit worried. Tom saw this and held Sonics hand. "It's ok Sonic." Tom said. Sonic looked up at Tom and nodded. They all walked into a changing room and got into their bathing suits and went out to the pool. Maddie offered Sonic to go swim with her and Tails but Sonic rejected and stayed with Tom. Maddie nodded and then swam back to Tails. Sonic sat at the edge of the pool and swished his feet in the water. Tom then sat beside Sonic. There was an awkward moment of silence before Tom spoke up. "Sooo you wanna try swimming?" Tom asked. Sonic stayed quiet for a minute before nodding slightly. Tom smiles and then got into the water. He held his hands out for sonic. "Come here I'll help you." Tom said. Sonic looked at Tom before carefully getting into the water. Tom got a hold of Sonics waist and helped him slowly swim. "Ok so just kick your legs and paddle with your arms." Tom said. Sonic nodded and followed directions. After awhile he sorta got a hang of it and he was swimming on his own. "Tom!! Look at me!!" Sonic shouted. "Good job!!" Tom said. Tails looked over at Sonic and swam to him. "Hey Sonic!" Tails said. Sonic turned around and got splashed in the face. "Hey!!" Sonic yelled while wiping his face off. "What was that for?!" Sonic shouted. "For fun!" Tails replied. Sonic smiled and then splashed Tails back. The two boys were splashing each other and giggling until Maddie came up to them and stopped them. "Time to go home boys!" Maddie said. They both pouted while getting out of the pool. Maddie dried off Tails and Tom dried off Sonic. "That was fun!!" Sonic said. "I agree we should do it again tomorrow!" Tails said. Tom and Maddie couldn't keep their laughter in so they both bursted out laughing. Tails and Sonic looked confused. "What are you laughing at guys?" Sonic asked. Tails then looked at Sonic and he was super fluffy. "Look at you! Your so fluffy!!" Tails said while giggling. Sonic looked at himself then at Tails. "You too!!" Sonic said. Tails and Sonic bursted our laughing. After a few minutes they all finally stopped and headed home.
