Recap: (Y/n) bakes cookies for Ellis. Roman opens up to (Y/n) and starts to realize he misjudged her.

Leo's eyes glanced at the clock for the fourth time in the past minute. With every second that passed he felt himself grow more impatient.

He wasn't paying attention to what his father and his brothers were saying. His mind was occupied by thoughts of (Y/n). She was probably cleaning the library right now and he was stuck in a meeting.

The King's gaze drifted towards the youngest prince. "Is something the matter?" he asked the boy. Leo's eyes snapped to his father.

"Umm it's nothing..." Leo muttered. All of the eyes in the room were on him. Leo always gave his full attention during their family meetings. Yet today he had been oddly distracted, which had not gone unnoticed.

"Well, I would advise you to pay attention. I would expect such behavior from someone like Roman, but from not from you. I'm disappointed."

The king's harsh words echoed throughout the court room. Roman clutched his fist under the table until his knuckles turned white. Meanwhile, Leo fidgeted in his seat. Nobody in the room dared to say anything. The atmosphere had become tense.

The silence was broken by the king who let out a long sigh. "I think that's enough for today, you are dismissed."

Leo was the first out of his seat. He rushed through the door. (Y/n). He needed to see her.

A tug on his shirt collar stopped him in his tracks. His body tensed. He knew exactly who was behind him.

"My dear brother," the voice spit. "Can I have a word?" Roman didn't wait for a reply before dragging the smaller prince through the hallway. He finally stopped and tightened his grip on Leo's shirt.

"I don't give a fuck about what you do, but next time don't bring me into it," the fiery haired male said. Leo noted the hatred in his voice.

"I didn't mean--"

"I don't care," Roman interrupted. He let go of the younger boy and scowled. "Next time I won't be so polite," he said before walking away.

Leo let out a sigh of relief. He took a moment to compose himself before setting off to the place where his sweet (Y/n) would be: the library.

(Y/n) looked up as she heard the doors open.

"Oh hey Leo," she said. She stepped down from the ladder and placed her duster on a nearby shelf. "I was starting to think you weren't going to show up."

Leo's shoulders relaxed when he heard her voice. "I would have come earlier but I was stuck in a meeting," he replied.

"I see."

Leo walked over to the girl and rested his head on her shoulder. (Y/n) smiled slightly and pat him on the back.

"Tough day huh?"

Leo sighed. "You have no idea." He pulled his head back and gave her a gummy smile. "But it's much better now that I've seen you."

(Y/n)'s heart was warmed by her friend's words.

"Well I can't talk for too long, they need an extra hand in the kitchen later."

Leo's face fell at her words. He didn't want her to leave.

(Y/n) wiped the sweat from her brow and walked over to the large window on the far side of the room. She unlocked the latch and swung the doors open. Immediately, a cool breeze swept through the room.
