Becoming Queen

chapter 2

Only 9 days till i get to be at Frogmore Castle. I love Frogmore. It's probably my favorite palace to stay in besides Buckingham of course. But first I have to get through school.

I go to St. Mary's which is a prestigious school in London and it's where all the royal children go. When I started school my parents decided to send me to St. Mary's and so did Ivy and Emma's parents.

It's a nice school but it's kinda stuffy. St.Mary's has a rich history of Royals attending there. Royals from other countries have sent their child to St.Marys, so that shows you how prestigious it is.

Anyway so today I'm wearing a light blue suit and decided to curl my hair. I hate having to dress up. No other royals require their kids to dress up but Ivy dresses up everyday so I won't be the only one dressed up.

Ivy is really my only friend at school because everyone else either hates me or is scared of me. Probably because I'm required to have a body guard at all times as does Ivy.

Emma doesn't have a personal body guard but she does have a driver.

Me and Ivy both have our own guards but we share the same driver for school. Since we both live in Kensington Palace , our parents figured we could ride together since we are going to the same place.

Emma's family used to live in Kensington but they moved a couple of years ago to another castle.

It's currently 6:30 a.m. and I still have 20 minutes till it's time to leave and that gives me plenty of time to eat breakfast. So I walk downstairs to the kitchen where my mother and father are sitting at the table.

"Good morning dear, come join us for breakfast" my mother says.

"Yes ma'am. What's for breakfast today?" I ask.

" French toast with strawberries and bacon" my dad says.

I reply kinda eagerly "Ooh yay, my favorite."

So I sit down and soon a maid brings me a caramel iced coffee as they do everyday and another maid brings out the French toast and bacon.

I start eating and after I'm done a maid picks up my plate and takes it to the kitchen and another brings me my lunch and a iced tea.

I get up and say" Goodbye Mother and Father. See y'all tonight. "

"Goodbye dear. Be careful" they say together .

I walk outside and get in the limo where Ivy is waiting. I get in and say "good morning Ivy."

I hear someone say "Do I get a good morning?" I turn around and I'm shocked to see that it's Prince Phillip.

In shock I say "Prince Phillip, you scared me. What are you doing here?"

He looks at me and says"Well my parents decided to send me to St. Marys. "

"Oh wow that's great. For how long?" I ask him.

"For now until the end of the school year but I'm gonna try to convince to let me stay until I graduate." he tells me.

I say "wow. That's cool."

We're getting close to the school and I look at him and say " You may wanna stay close. People don't like new kids, especially royals. "

Ivy says " Yeah that'll be your best bet. "

He says "ok. "

We arrive to the school and the guards open the door and when I get out Prince Phillip holds his hand out and helps me out.

We walk into the school and there comes the dirty looks. I don't understand why teenagers in my own country hate me but in America everyone loves me.

They hate me because I'm 2nd in line to the throne. They hate Ivy because she's my best friend. They like Emma because she's not friends with me and she's not as close to the throne as we are.

Adults in the country love me though. In fact I'm the number one favorite royal member in the country and Ivy is number two. Emma is the twelve favorite royal member and she hates me because of that also.

Anyway let's get back to the task at hand. School. So we walk in and everybody shoots us dirty looks and when they see Prince Phillip it gets worse.

I hear a voice say "Why is he hanging out with the losers? He'd fit in a lot more with us."

I look up and surprise ,surprise it's Emma.

"Maybe because we're nice" Ivy shoots back at her.

Emma replied "Righttt. Ok well have fun losers."

So we take Prince Phillip to the office to get his schedule and he has the exact same schedule as me and Ivy. Thankfully Emma doesn't have any of the same classes as us.

1st period AP US History, 2nd period AP Spanish,3rd period Advanced Typing , 4th period AP Dual Enrollment English and 5th period AP Chemistry goes by with out anything happening.

Then comes lunch. The entire high school has lunch together. Me and Ivy usually sit out side but it's raining so we have to sit inside.

   We go and sit in a corner table with Prince Phillip and start eating. All three of us brought out lunch. Our parents do not trust the cafeteria food because they're scared someone would poison our food, especially me.

It's peaceful until we hear that annoying voice again. Who could guess who it is? That's right , it's Emma.Again.

She loves to bother us everyday at lunch. Of course we try to ignore her but her voice is so annoying that sometimes we can't help but respond.

It usually ends with her running off angry and today was no different.

After lunch is 6th period AP Pre-Cal. After that class is finally over its time for 7th period. Study Hall. I use study hall to do my homework.

Finally after what feels like forever , school is over.

Hi. So what's y'alls opinion of this chapter? I hope y'all enjoyed it. Sorry this took me so long. I was having trouble with the middle part of this chapter. So this week I'm gonna completely plan out the rest of part 1 and start writing it. I'm not sure how many chapters part one will have. Hopefully 10-15. I'm also going to create a character aesthetic for at least all the main characters. I might do some more later if needed. Also feel free to email me a cover at marycatherinebutts02@gmail.com

Teaser:the next chapter will fast forward to Christmas when Amy leaves with her grandmother and a unexpected person goes on the trip with them.Amy learns some important things that will help prepare her for her future as queen.
