A dark elf.

Loki explained to me that he and Thor had fought Malekith, but somehow a couple had survived their ambush.

"So," I took a breath, "you mean to tell me you faked your death and you didn't expect your brother to be mad at you?"

He huffed, "I just told you all of that and that's the first thing you ask," I stared at him and crossed my arms, "bad joke?"

"You think? How did they find out where you were," I said creasing my eyebrows, thinking about the tragedy that struck New York merely two years ago.

"I don't know, I thought they all perished when we destroyed their planet. I think we're going to have to pay Thor a visit, unfortunately," he grabbed my hand, then put his arm around my shoulder.

"We're doing this now? Is this proper attire to meet a prince in?"

He cocked his head, "I've seen you wear rabbit slippers and you're asking if actual clothes are proper," I slightly nodded, "Heimdall, I have important business with Thor," the wind started to swirl as the earth began to shake around us.

"You're fortunate enough that I felt their presence, otherwise you would not be allowed to come back," a voice roared, making me jump as Loki holds onto me tighter.

God, I hope he didn't feel that.

All of the sudden there was a burst of light that surrounded us, the light so bright I was forced to close my eyes. Next it felt as if we were flying, within ten seconds Loki had changed how he was holding me.

"Fragile cargo, Heimdall," Loki groaned as I had landed on top of him.

"I'm so sorry," I squeaked as I got off of him a little too fast, landing on my butt next to him.

"I am sorry about that Miss Monroe. I did not expect Loki to bring you with." A tall, dark man with dark long hair and golden eyes spoke.

How'd he know my name?

"My name is Heimdall, I am the gatekeeper and the watcher of all nine realms."

"I would introduce myself, but from the sounds of it you already know who I am," I laugh nervously.

"After Loki ran away and found you I had to watch over you," he took a breath, "the king's orders," by the time Heimdall said the last words Loki had gotten up and brushed himself off.

"Do you know where we could find Thor at this time of day?"

"He was sparring."

Loki grabbed my wrist, but before we could get out of the building I say, "it was nice to meet you Heimdall,"I turned my head as we cross the threshold and see buildings of gold, "wow. It's beautiful," I stuttered, then look down and shriek and grab Loki's hand with my left and grabbed his inner elbow with my right; the famous rainbow bridge was translucent. I dragged Loki over the rushing water that I tried to ignore the sound of, "who would make this clear without railings?"

"Our father?"

"Well it was an awful decision."

The prince had led us to the training grounds just off the castle, surprisingly with little social interaction. As we approached the room yells had gotten louder and louder. Loki opened the door and I was met face to face with an arrow headed directly to my face, Loki had caught it midair inches from my face.

"That's not a very nice welcome gift for my friend here," the voice made everyone in the room stop what they were doing.

"I thought I threw you out, brother," a large bodied blonde said with a hearty laugh.
