London, England.  August 19, 1888   Later That Evening
“You must have had other options than this, you know. Policing the underworld as the queen’s guard dog.” Aunt Ann made point as she sat across from Ciel, a chess board in between the two of them. “My sister, your mother, would have wanted something different for you, you know. Is it because you are trying to avenge their deaths?” I whipped my head towards them from my spot by the window, watching the thunder storm as it rolled through while in thought.
“The need for revenge is a funny thing. It will not bring back the dead and it will not bring them happiness.” Ciel stated in his monotone state. “To answer your question, I did not return to my cursed home for my parents. I did it for myself. I want to find the people responsible for what happened that night and make them pay with their lives.” Aunt Ann got up from her seat then and walked towards my brother with a sad smile. I turned back to the thunder storm out of the windows, doing all I could to hide the tears in my eyes as I listened in.
“I still remember the day you were born. Though it seems not long ago. You were so tiny and fragile that I remember thinking, I had to protect him.” I heard the sadness in her voice. “You know I was never able to have children of my own, but I looked to you all as my own children. Which is why I wish you would let this all go and live a happy life.”
“This is a path I have freely chosen on my own. I cannot allow anyone to coddle me.” With that, Ciel ended the conversation and Sebastian began to escort Aunt Ann out for the night.
“My lady?” I heard Sebastian call to me later on, while I made my way up to my bedroom.
“Yes, Sebastian?” I turned to face him. I heard Mey Rin mae her way to the top of the stair case, ready to help me retire for the night.
“Are you all right? From the earlier conversation between your brother and Aunt Ann, I mean?” The look he had showed in his eyes actually showed that he cared, though I was always unsure when it came to down to it.
“I will be alright.” I nodded with a fake smile. “I always am.” I turned on my heel and made my way up the rest of the stair case. “Sebastian?” I called without turning around, still knowing he was there.
“Yes?”
“Thank you, for asking anyway.” I nodded one last time, then followed our maid to my room, ready to end this night.
“Of course, my lady.” Was all I heard in response. Unfortunately, it was not long before Ciel had me getting dressed in baggy street clothes rather than my night dress. He had a new lead, and he was ready for tonight to be the last night with Jack The Ripper.

Present Day
I got ready for the night ahead, a new set of three nights before my week off and my first night meeting the doctors I report to on nights. I was both excited and nervous. I needed to make a good first impression.
I walked into work with as much confidence as I could. My reddish blonde hair was in a neat bun on top of my head, though of course I always thought it made my face look way too round. Oh well. My make up was light and on point, though it took me nearly an hour to perfect when normally it only takes me minutes to do. I knew I was nervous, but I had to stay on key. This was my career.
I met with the nurse I was working with, got report, and started the night off well. I was super into the swing of things tonight, getting everything done and getting my people settled within the blink of an eye, at least to me it seemed. It actually ended up being like three hours that flew by in the blink of an eye. I hadn’t even noticed that the doctors had come upstairs to see their patients and introduce their new college until my trainer bumped my shoulder and pointed them out.
The first doctor I met, Dr. Drew, was really sweet. She was older, but the grey in her brown hair actually blended very nicely, though I would never say so out loud, and her voice was sweet as a mothers. She had an amazing bedside manner and all of the nurses seemed to love her.
Dr. Erik was okay. He gave off this uppity vibe that had some people swoon and others want to barf. I was neither, though I cannot say I was a personal fan. His patients seemed to like them though as he gave off a very caring and understanding vibe to them. I suppose, that is what matters most, right?
Dr. August was very high and mighty I found, with both her peers and her patients. I was told that she was a doctor here for many years and so with her history here, she is a very respected doctor in the practice. I guess she found that touch love was the way to go in her career. To each their own, I guess.
The new doctor had me double take. He was surrounded by so many people that I barely saw him in the crowed. I had almost not met him at all, though he made it a point to meet me when he saw me. His hair was pulled back in a downward pony tail. His eyes were nearly hidden as well. He did not dress like an ordinary doctor, that was for sure, but though he was new, rumor had it he was very smart. God, did he take my breath away. Especially his emerald green eyes.
