That's just practically how I met them.
By chance? Fate? Coincidence? I've never wasted my time pondering about what really led us to one another. You see, I... we, are all busy wandering around.
For weeks, we never stayed in a single place. Heck, we don't even last in one city for a day. We're definitely city hopping!
I couldn't understand the reason behind their "plans" before. He's so close to kicking me outside the van while it's still moving.
Apparently, they have different reasons but the bottomline is, we're all running away from something. That's the sole purpose of all this hiding, using disguise when in public, always being aware of people around us, and the city hopping to top it all off.
The first few days I've spent with them, I came to realize one thing.
Trusting is a lot harder than anyone could ever think. Especially if you are to trust total stangers you've never met your whole life. It was almost as if you are being forced to do something you've never done beforehand. It's scary not to know.
They were being cautious of me as I was to them.
To the point where one innocent word, one simple action, could instantly trigger suspiscion.
The worst argument had happened just a week after they decided to include me in their secret escapade.
That night, they were exhausted. We've been avoiding checkpoints in every city the whole day (their reason was because they don't trust the cops which made me skeptic of them as well. I mean, who knows?
It's almost midnight. Sigurado akong nasa isang probinsya kami.
I glanced at the rearview mirror once and saw that all of them are either dozing off or already arrived in dreamland. Napagod talaga sila.
Dru was driving in silence which is very odd since he's the loudest person in this vehicle so I tried to check on him.
