"I fucking hate this game..." Drim groaned in frustration, impatiently gripping his cards. Nasa pagitan naming dalawa si Baron.
Formed in a circle with crossed legs, everyone's putting up a game face as we played Uno.
It has been a very long day for us, given the unexpected trouble that we had to escape from earlier which is also the reason why we ended up here - in the middle of this creepy and eerily quiet woods, surrounded by lots of spooky trees. Aside from the headlights and the lights inside the van, the moonlight was the only thing that illuminates this dark place.

Padarag na ibinagsak ni Drim ang card niya sa ibabaw ng card ni Baron. Halatang naiinis na dahil ang dami niya pang hawak na cards. Si Earl ang kasunod na walang naibabang card. After Earl, we all waited for Carrie's turn. As usual, he's sporting a straight face as he place down his card above the pile.
"Uno," he declared.
Napahiyaw kaming lahat bukod sa kanya. He just brought down a power card with additional four cards!
Ferdy beside him, whined like a kid, "I'm not gonna let this happen!" then placed a similar power card.
"No!" we screamed once more.
Tila naiiyak na si Dru sa tabi ko. I could only pat his back sympathetically.
The twins, especially Baron, started laughing at Dru in mockery. Later on, Dru joined them. Para silang mga nasiraan ng ulo na tawa nang tawa. That's when Dru finally showed his 4+ card. Mas lumala ang tawanan nila Baron at ako naman ang inaasar. Nakisali na rin sila Earl at Ferdy.
Feigning defeat, I just shrugged. Nagbibilang na ng cards si Dru sa tabi ko.
