He loved me.

He loves me.

Why did it have to be this way?

After Jungkook confessing his love to me before and his love right now for my other self, I asked him to leave me alone and think about it. Just like a gentleman that he is, he respected my decision.

I don't think I can attend classes today. That's why I told my mom that I booked a flight to Vancouver online last night. If I really need a break from him and think things straight, then I have to be as far from him as possible.

When I finished packing up some clothes in a small bag, I looked at myself in the mirror and saw how awful my eyes are. I've been crying the entire night because of how fate played me real good.

I was right, love will slowly break you into pieces.

I put on a jacket and grabbed my baggage before coming out and locking my dorm. I still have an hour to wait before my flight but I want to be distracted and different surroundings might help.

=====

Since I was at the airport, Jungkook keeps calling my number so I blocked his phone from calling me. "You're skipping classes again, sweetie?" My mom opened the door for me but before she can say more I immediately hugged her.

"I missed you mom,"

"I missed you too, sweetie."

"Ouch!" She pinches my waist like she always did.

"That doesn't justify the reason why you're here skipping your Friday classes." She scolded after breaking away from the hug. "Why are you wearing those? You look like a guy."

"I just need a break," I pouted and gave an extraneous answer to her. Walking inside the house, I laid on the couch comfortably.

"Do you want anything?" My mom asked.

"Yeah, anything," I said before closing my eyes. I might need a snack or two. Later on, I smelled something unpleasant along with the sound of mom's footsteps. I opened an eye and saw that my mother is holding a tray with a bowl of banana chips and an apple cider vinegar.

"Mom! You know I don't drink that!" I exclaimed I sit down properly before grabbing the bowl of banana chips.

"Seeing those heavy bags under your eye, you might need a drink of it." She hands me the cup and all I can smell is stinkiness. "C'mon, I added juice in it." She hissed, clearly forcing me to do what she wants.

Without much choice, I took the glass from her and finished it on one drink. "Where is dad by the way?" I grimaced after feeling the aftertaste.

"He is at work," She informed and I bopped my head.

"Mom, can I ask you something?" I asked before placing a couple of banana chips inside my mouth.

"Sure, sweetie. What is it?"

"Do I really look like a boy because of my hair?" I frowned.

"Yeah, with all that boyish get up, you do, no doubt." She confirmed.

Geez, thanks, mom.

"You look like your dad." She taunted and laughed. I rested my head on the arm of the sofa while sighing.

"Mom, what if you love someone who used to love your other self?" I blurted out the question.

"You mean, what will I do if your dad loves my past self more?" She repeated the question in a way that she understands it more.
