"Something wasn't right, I'm telling you but you're not listening to me."
Namjoon's voice is full of irritation.
"I'm listening just fine, I just think you're over-reacting." Yoongi replies dryly. "Human women do all kinds of crazy things when they become obsessed with someone, and we are magnets. It was inevitable that she go crazy if she was fucking you."
Namjoon can hear the judgement in Yoongi's voice, or maybe it's just because it's an old argument between the two of them. Yoongi is one of the ones who hadn't fed, who'd maintained abstinence in determination to wait for Minji. Namjoon wanted to, he really did. But he'd needed to feed. Simple as that.
"Don't make that face Joonie, " Seokjin cuts in. "You know Yoongi's right, even if the point was crassly delivered."
"Don't you start with me pretty boy, " Yoongi growls, annoyed.
Seokjin rolls his eyes, and clasps a hand onto Namjoon's shoulder.
"You said you felt magic, but that can't be right..." he murmurs.
"Yeah, " Jimin speaks up, "there isn't a demon alive who would challenge us. You haven't forgotten the last hundred war already have you?"
Namjoon sighs, and pushes at his glasses with one finger.
He really doesn't know why he'd expected them to believe him. He knows what he felt.
"I'm not the kind of demon who loses his head, " he frowns, "you know I'm the last person to fall to blind panic. But if-"
"That's not what I heard, " Yoongi interrupts. "I mean, your reaction to some bitch pouring a drink on her is to fuck her senseless? If there really had been danger you could have gotten Minji killed you know."
"If you'd felt what I had you probably would have fucked her in the middle of the room for all to see." Namjoon snaps.
"Okay, this is getting out of hand, " Seokjin inserts. "I think everyone here needs to just calm down and-"
"Fuck you Jin, " Yoongi barks. "Stay out of it."
"Min Yoongi!" Seokjin exclaims. "That is not how you speak to your elders! I know-"
"Is everything okay in here?"
Seokjin freezes, and then pastes a rather convincing smile upon his face as the group turns to notice Minji standing beneath the door frame.
"I heard shouting. We fighting guys?"
"Absolutely not, " Seokjin beams brightly.
A little too brightly. And Minji is not dumb.
"You don't have to lie to me Jinnie, " she chuckles. "People who are close fight, right?"
Seokjin stares wide eyed, then smiles sheepishly.
"You're right, " he admits. "We are close, aren't we guys? So maybe we should give Namjoon a little credibility. We'll talk about this later, okay? For now, who wants to help me make dinner?"
"You don't want my help, " Namjoon refutes, hands held up in defeat.
"Agreed, " Seokjin sighs, "so get out of my kitchen."
Namjoon grumbles, but ultimately does as told. Seokjin's smile is weary, and far more fragile than the elder Incubus cares to admit.
