《 Third Person POV 》
"You know what would be great?" Bunny whispered softly, looking at her best friend in the process. The two of them were currently laying in the grass staring up at the sky after a very stressful day of school and this was usually their favourite spot to sit. It was soothing to them for a reason they couldn't explain. Just the tree with the rainbow leaves was enough to soothe them, even on a day full of testing and homework.
Doggy sighed at her statement, holding her hand and running her thumb over the other girl's knuckle. She kept her gaze up at the sky, and if it weren't for the other's words she probably would've been asleep by now.
"What?" She hummed, smiling lightly while she turned her sight to look at her. Bunny sat up, propping herself on one of her elbows, then brushing her dress off with her free hand. She let the other's hand go in the process of doing it which she could see the disappointment on the other's face, but she didn't really have much of a choice. Either that or fall.
"If Zizzy were here," she said blankly, looking towards her best friend. Doggy sat up with her and glared at her. A glare that showed a little bit of sadness. She insisted on holding her hand again, which she gladly gave into, yet it didn't seem like enough to bring the light back to her eyes.
"Am I not enough?" She whispered, forcing a chuckle. Bunny shook her head, turning her gaze from her face to the sky and hanging her mouth open in an uncertain smile.
"No, but she actually starts conversations." She added, getting up and letting go of Doggy's hand again so she could stand up. Doggy got up to, grabbing her waist and pulling her closer to her so she could look the other in the eyes. She wrapped her arms around her neck too and leaned their foreheads together to give some affection in return.
"Oh really?" She remarked, speaking about her statement about Zizzy. "Maybe next time she can join us. She's working today though." She said, smiling at her. Bunny nodded and rolled her eyes at his slight teasing. Almost instantly did she meet her eyes again though.
"I know," she paused for a moment before pushing away from her and running down the hill with no warning besides the glare she gave to the three seconds before. "Race you to the tree at the bottom of the hill." She called, running but at the same time pushing her skirt down. Doggy started to run after her shortly after, although due to being in short instead of a skirt or wasn't so hard for her to run after her.
"No fair! You got a head start!" She called, pouting a little. Bunny giggled. She didn't look back, nor speak. She just kept running until she finally ran into the tree, surprised at her victory. She thought for sure Doggy would've beat her in the race, I mean, she's top track team and isn't wearing such flowy clothes. But with Bunny's such sudden actions, she could only assume was the reason she didn't. "Nice, Bun, but don't do that head start next time," Doggy said once she caught up to her. She certainly didn't look winded. Bunny smirked, rolling her eyes and placing her hands on her hips while she leaned on the tree.
"But I still win." She mocked.
"And I won't deny it."
