chapter six

i wake up Saturday super excited because it's my date with kevin. he won't tell me where he plans to take me however he said to wear a bathing suit.
i put on my light green bikini and a black shirt and jean shorts over it. i brush out my blonde locks and look over at my makeup. it's probably really dumb to put some on since we are probably going to get wet so i decide against it. 10 minutes later i get a text
from: kevin 🤩
hey i'm outside ;)
i grabbed my phone and walked out the door.
he sat there in his white jeep. he looked really cute
he has messy long hair and light blue orbs, his skin was perfectly olive and he was very built from football. when he laid his eyes on me he smiled he had a very nice smile i must admit.
k-"hey i was wondering if you were ever gonna make it" he teases
a-"yea well i like to take my time" i open the car door and get inside the car
a-"soooo where are we going?"
k-"your very impatient"
a-"yes so where ?"
k-"i wanted to take you to one of my favorite beaches"
a-"oh fun!" i giggle
k-"yea i hope so" he smiles at me before turning on the radio "teenage dream" by katy perry starts playing
a-"i love this song" i squeal
kevin chuckles
k-"so your a Katy Perry kinda girl"
a-"oh for sure" i giggle
a-"oh oh this is my favorite part"
a-"let you put your hands on me in my skin tight jeans be your teenage dream tonight" just then i felt kevin's hand rest on my thigh which sent butterfly's through my stomach.
***time hip hop***
we get to the beach and kevin turns to me
k-"ok close ur eyes"
a-"ok they're closed"
k-"no peaking" kevin walks up behind me and outs his hands over my eyes
k-"i mean it" i giggle slightly
a-"ok ok i won't peak"
when i open my eyes again i see him standing there with a picnic basket and a blanket
a-"awe that's so sweet"
he blushed slightly which was really cute
we walked down the beach before finding the perfect spot. we laid out the light blue blanket and he started setting out the food. Pretzels, fruit salad, and goldfish
a-"these are my favorite" i say popping one in my mouth
k-"i know i asked ashlyn and taylor"
k-"i also got lemonade they told me u really like it"
a-"oh that's true i do"
he turned to look at me with his crystal blue eyes.
k-"i really like you" he leaned in and kissed me
a-"i like you too" i smile
i look over at kevin and he's on his phone doing something that's weird
a-"want to go into the water? i ask
k-"hell yea"
we start taking off our cover ups and run towards the water. Once Kevin reaches the water he stops i wade in till about my waist and look back
a-"whats the matter you big baby"
k-"the waters cold" he fake shivers
i take my hands and cup some water
a-"this water this water is cold?"
before he could answer i throw the water at him
k-"oh your gonna regret that?"
a-"am i ?"
he charges at me forgetting about the cold water and throws me over his shoulder
a-"kevin put me down" i say in between laughs
k-"whatever you want" he says before flipping me off his shoulders. i splash into the water and come up to see him grinning over me.
k-"ok but i am a little cold"
he says before walking up behind me and wrapping me in a hug. the sudden skin to skin contact makes me jump a little. he rests his head on my should and we just sit there for a little.
a-"the suns setting"
k-"oh yeah"
a-"i love sun sets. They remind me that no matter what happens the sun will rise and it will set. They remind me to stay humble because i'm such a small thing in the earth."
i stop talking cause i realize i'm rambling on about stupid things that a guy like kevin would never care about
a-"sorry that was really dumb"
k-"are you kidding i love hearing you talk it's really cute. i don't think that it's dumb at all."
i blush a little and my heart pace starts to climb
k-"your hearts beating really fast you okay?"
a-"yes i'm more than ok" i say looking up and smiling at him.
