You never quite thought of yourself as the conniving type. Because, the truth is, empathy is all you've ever known. But after learning the ominous secrets of Orlion and the truth of your existence, life - itself - feels different than before.
You're a little more ambitious. A little more dispassionate. And it becomes a lot easier to hurt.
The High Mage of Katolis, although initially unnerved by that, takes a peculiar interest in you. And for reasons that are rather callous and selfish, you take a liking to your new mentor too.
But the ethereal being in the mirror would not have it. Especially not when you have strayed far from the course he calibrated for you. He had spent years - countless years to vigilantly maneuver you in his game of chess. Fortunately, as by fate's wishes, the time for him to take matters into his own hands has finally come.
Though, the question is - exactly how far is he willing to go to get his way?
