"Would you like some tea?" Dylan asks as we enter his house.

"Yes please." I sigh as I follow him into his kitchen. I have a seat at the island.

"So what's wrong?" He asks as he puts the kettle on the stove.

"I uh, I found out that Cheryl is not my mother."

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah."

"Did they tell you who she is?"

"Yeah. It's Debbie."

"Love?"

"Debbie Love." I confirm.

"That actually makes a lot of sense." He says nodding his head. "Remember when I'd confuse her for your mom when you showed me pictures."

"That's not really helping Dylan." I say before leaning my forehead on my hands.

"Well." He sighs. "I'm gonna be candid"

"Ok." I shrug.

"Debbie loves you KitKat. Say what you want about her now but in those 8 years you knew her she gave you so much love." He says making me cry again. "I think instead of being mad with her you should enjoy being knowing the truth and get to know your mother."

"Why did she lie to me?" I ask. "I just want to know why they'd all want to lie to me instead of getting me to a happy place."

He moves to sit next to me and gives me a hug.

"This just sucks." I say holding him tightly.

"I just think you deserve to have the love she wants to give you. It's something you wanted so badly." He's right.

"I just feel like I already fucked it all up."

"You reacted the way you did and that is one hundred percent valid." He assures as he rubs my arm.

"I was mean."

"You were in shock, love. They can't blame you."
I move to drink my tea and notice I'm probably being annoying.

"I'm sorry I called you. I know you don't really want to be friends right now." I say as I put my mug down.

"It's ok. You can always call me." He smiles.

"Is your girlfriend going to be mad?"

"I don't have a girlfriend anymore."

"Oh." I say clearing my eyes. "What happened?"

"Stupid stuff." He shrugs.

"That sucks."

"Where's James?" I take a sip of my tea and close my eyes.

"Trouble in paradise?" He smirks.

"Shut up." I say shaking my head. "Please don't start."

"What happened?" He probes.

"I really don't want to talk about it, but it has to do something with your letter." I sigh.

"Oooh."

"Yeah." I slowly drag.

We sit in silence as we drink our tea.

"What are you going to do, KitKat?"

"Please ask me something else." I tiredly beg.

"Want a Pizookie?" He asks, making me laugh loudly. "Remember?" He asks, nudging my shoulder.
