Ishita's fear of having to hear taunts for her strained marriage had held her back from moving out of Raman's house despite his idiocies. However, the breach of trust that Raman had done today was unforgivable for her. There was no way he could justify himself for overdosing on drugs. In fact, would he even care to clarify anything to her? Did Raman even care enough to bother how much his lies had affected his wife? These were the thoughts playing in Ishita's mind.

Therefore, Ishita believed it was better to move out of the Bhalla House with dignity. For the sake of her sanity. She was hesitant to go back to her mother's house and felt that living in a rented apartment would be a better choice. Though, on her own, she would have to protect herself from the interrogation of people whom would question her why she was all alone. Certainly, an apartment would not be arranged magically, it would take time. Till that time, Ishita would stay put at her in law's, maintaining distance from Raman whom was semi conscious but restless and confused after a few hours since his wife had returned back.

Ishita had clarified her stance to her father in law whom had been understanding of her predicament and readily took the blame for spoiling Raman by giving into his demands, whether they were justified or not.

Om Prakash respected Ishita's decision of wanting to maintain a distance from Raman but he was not in favour of her renting a flat. It would be indecent for him to allow a lady from his family to live alone. Ishita was adamant, tired of putting up with Raman's foolery.

Toshi was absent throughout Om Prakash and Ishita's discussion, sitting in the room with her son, sobbing uncontrollablly. She did not care about Raman's wrong doing, only his ill health mattered to her. His refusal to eat food bothered her even more.

"Naa jaane kiski nazar lag gayi mere Puttar ko? Hasta muskhuraata yahan se gaya tha aur aate waqt dekho kya haal ban gaya. Mere Puttar ko theek kardo Rab ji."

(I wonder who cast an evil eye over my son. He had left the house happily and look at him post return. Almighty, please help my son recover.)

Om Prakash came into Raman's bedroom and expressed indignation at his wife for the first time in the 31 years of their marriage, having heard her nonsensical talk a few seconds back

"Yeh fizool baatein mat kijiye Toshiji. Yeh kisi ki nazar ka asar nahi hai. Yeh sab Raman ke apne kartoot hain. Apni biwi ko uski Maa ke paas chod ke, nasha karne chala gaya. Iss ladke ki shaadi karwayi hai humne? Isse toh kisi baat ka hosh hi nahi hai. Be sudh hoke para hua hai. Isko samajha dijiye ke apna rawaiya sudhar le warna main khud isko seedha kar loonga. Tabh mujhe kuch mat khaiyega."

(Don't talk nonsense Toshi ji. This is not the affect of any evil eye. It is the result of Raman's own deeds. He left his wife with her mother and went to do drugs. Is this the guy we got married whom has cannot tell right from wrong? He is lying, completely out of his mind. Explain to him that he needs to sort his behaviour out, otherwise I jolly well know how to do it myself. Don't stop me, then.)

Toshi was perplexed at what had happened to her husband suddenly.

"Aap toh aise nahi teh Bhalla ji. Aapne toh kabhi Raman se oonchi awaaz mein baat bhi nahi ki thi aur aaj dekho. Humaara beta beemar hai Bhalla ji. Isko pyaar ki zaroorat hai."

(You were never like this Bhalla Sahab. You never even raised your voice at Raman and look at you today. Our son is unwell, Bhalla Sahab. He needs love.)

Om Prakash glared at Toshi

"Koi rok tok nahi ki, iss liye Raman itna bigar gaya. Ab yeh shaadi shudda hai toh isse zimmedaariyan samajhni padengi. Aur waise bhi Ishita ne mujhse kaha hai ke agar Raman ne khudko naa badla toh woh talaq le legi. Raman ke paas khud ko naa badalne ki wajah hi kya hai?"
