Amelia has been packing for quite some time now since she is very eager to go back to Hogwarts. Everything has been quiet at her house, and she's been very tired of all the things at home, even if she hadn't done anything at home. She distracts herself with some books, or maybe a walkout in a Muggle Park.
After a few weeks of waiting, reading letters from her friends, and sitting at home all day, it's finally time to get back to Hogwarts, it's a new day. And especially, she's excited to see her friends again.
The scarlet train puffed out smoke, as the crowd of parents and children chatted. Parents waving goodbye and children excited to go to Hogwarts. Amelia entered the train, looking around for her friends. The girl smiled, looking all tired with huge eye bags and dark circles under her eyes. Her mother decided to use the curse on her before leaving since Amelia woke up late because she couldn't sleep from the excitement.
Amelia opens the compartment door waves at her three best friends. "Hello, guys."
"Hi, Amelia!" The three greet, simultaneously.
She took a seat next to a sleeping man slumped against the window. "Who's this man?"
"Professor R.J Lupin," replied Hermione, Amelia nods as she took a peek at the sleeping man.
"How was your summer, Amelia?" Ron asks, holding his pet close to his chest.
"Dreadful and boring, as usual," she sighed, as she bit the insides on her lips, "Anyway, have you guys heard about Sirius Black?"
"Yes," Hermione said, as the two boys nod.
"Alright, I have to tell you guys something," Harry said, looking at them seriously.
Ron, Amelia and Hermione stare at Harry, faces stricken in the lantern light and that now glows in the compartment as Crookshanks slumbers in his cage.
"Let me get this straight," Ron furrows his eyebrows. "Sirius Black escaped Azkaban to come after you?"
"Yes." Harry pursed his lips.
"But they'll catch Black, won't they? I mean...eventually?" Hermione asks, slight panic in her voice.
"Sure—Of course, no one's ever broken out of Azkaban before and he's a raving, murderous lunatic..." Amelia said as she rubs her eyes.
"You all right there, Amelia? You look like you haven't slept in ages," said Harry, looking at his friend worriedly.
"Yeah, fine, I just didn't sleep, and you know my mother..." she trails off, not wanting to say it, but her friends of course knew what her mother does to her, and they wanted to tell the Ministry about it, but her mother works at the Ministry and has a huge title, and if she ever did, things would go worse and she'll be able to cover up what Amelia would say.
"You have to at least tell someone that your mother sometimes...uses one of the unforgivable curses on you, Amelia," Hermione sighed, "Dumbledore or at least Professor McGonagall—"
"No! Never, I don't want to risk it. Things might go even worse," she said. "And besides, she doesn't do it often. Only when I don't listen to her."
Harry furrowed his eyebrows at the girl, "still, she's not supposed to do it."
Just then, the compartment rattles and the light flickers as the train begins to slow down. Hermione carefully slides to the end of the seat
Just then, the compartment rattles. The light then flickers as the train begins to slow. Hermione carefully slides to the other end of the seat and glances at her watch as she frowns. "Why're we stopping? We can't be there yet..."
