Jennie's POV

"Ok, class is over. You students better be finished with your projects before the Dance." The professor lastly said before exiting the classroom with his usual poker face. I also stood up slowly and made my way out of the classroom.

But remembering that Jisoo was also in my class, I groaned mentally while she tailed me until we were on the parking lot. Also, remembering that we were going to have to ride together, I think that's a bad idea having pent up frustration and riding with the person who actually caused it.

"Jen-." Just by hearing her voice is enough to make me give up on this being mad act and just hug her but no. She deserves this.

"I'm calling Hanbin to pick me up at a nearby cafe. So you can go back on your own. Also, tell that to the maknaes." I proceeded on walking to the said cafe leaving her there. I didn't even think twice of looking back at her because I know if I did, I'd probably go back with no hesitation.

As I thought that this day won't get any more worse than it is, the sky changed that. It suddenly rained so hard. The downpour was so sudden that I had to run to the cafe with my bag on top of my head because I have no umbrella with me. Running was the only option and I didn't even care if my throbbing south would be bleeding when I'm home.

The cafe wasn't that far from school so it was easier to get there. But having no luck in my side today, the cafe was literally closed. In Wednesday afternoon.

This couldn't have been a coincidence or the world just hates me today.

"Ugh..." I groaned and proceeded to look for shelter because if I didn't, my bag and the things inside of it would be soaked as hell.

Luckily, there was a waiting shed on that specific street. I sighed in relief knowing that I still had some luck in me.

Looks like I'd have to take the bus to go home today. I still have some money.

I mentally hoped no one recognizes the daughter of one of the most influential CEO in Korea riding a bus home and not a limo or car.

"Need a ride, beautiful?" A stranger asked with a sweet smile on his face. He looked like the same grade as me and I saw his uniform different meaning he's from another school obviously. But remembering that he just called me by a pet name, I distanced myself.

"No thank you, Sir." I replied with a small nod and smile. I witnessed his smile fade but returned immediately as if it didn't went down at all.

"Ah... waiting for someone then?"

And then it hit me, I didn't even call Hanbin yet. I facepalmed myself when I fished out my phone from my pocket and saw it was low battery already.

"Looks like your having a bad day." The guy beside me chuckled and I shyly covered my red face of embarrassment with my soaked bag.

"You have no idea."

"Do you still want to refuse my offer awhile ago?" He asked. It looked like he was a good person and I could trust him but I didn't want to be a burden to him.

There's something inside me telling that I should say yes and the other no. I was really comfortable with this guy by now and it'd be ride if I declined.

"Actually, I-." Before I could even reply, an arm wrapped around me and gently placed me behind him or her. And just by seeing the back figure of this person, I already knew who it is.

"What do you need from her, Namjoon?" Jisoo asked the guy in front of her with her words dripping with spite.

"J-Jisoo... long time no see." He chuckled to lessen the tension building up in the air but it didn't work. Jisoo was glaring at him so intensely that I'm scared to even touch her right now.

"I didn't want to see you ever again but I suppose fate had us meeting in this shitty of a situation." Jisoo grabbed my wrist too hard for my liking making me wince in pain.

"Jisoo, your hurting her." Namjoon seriously said while looking at my wrist that was still being held by Jisoo.

Jisoo immediately let go of me and looked at me as if she's saying sorry multiple times with her eyes. She groaned and raked her hands in her air showing that she's stressed.

She fished out something from her pocket and I saw that it was a pack of cigarette. She was about to put one in her mouth but I slapped it away.

"You smoke?!"

"She only smokes when she's so stressed, Jennie." Namjoon answered the question himself. It does seem that Jisoo isn't in the mood to talk to me so she entered her parked car that was right in front of us while cursing under her breath. She didn't drive away though.

"You know me?" I asked Namjoon beside me. And he only smiled.

"Of course. Jisoo always talked about you when she gets home when you two were still in middle school." He smiled at the memory.

"And I suppose you two know each other too?"

"Yeah."

I didn't want him to answer me that he was one of Jisoo's exes. Yes, Jisoo had a number of relationships but neither of them were really serious.

"How did you two know each other?"

"Um..." He was about to answer but when I felt someone's presence behind me, he stopped. And judging by the scent of freshly lightened cigar and vanilla perfume still very fresh, you all know who it is.

"He was Jin's first love."
