Episode 18: Restless

Life goes on for the rest of the characters in Forgotten Winter. Life goes on for them, like that fight between Haru and Gyeong that set Dano's world on edge—didn't even happen. Dano can't get Haru's beguiling words out of her head. Meanwhile, the only thing anybody remembers from the new scene is Gyeong and Dano's stage kiss.

Dano walks the hallway now, and gets reassuring smiles from gossipy girls, excited quipped comments and curious looks from anybody else.

Dohwa jumps out of nowhere, grabbing hold of Dano's shoulders and shouting, "Boo!" She screams and he cracks up.

She scowls, "Crazy jerk."

"So the news is going round about you and Baek Gyeong," Dohwa drawls teasingly, his mouth twisted into a coy grin. "Congratulations. G*ddamn, Tiny, I didn't know you had it in you."

Dano's heart sinks into her stomach when she hears this. It weighs her down like an anchor, "Oh. That."

"I mean, I'm happy for you! I really am!" Dohwa laughs. "I just can't believe it. Dear little Dano, finally experiencing her first kiss on college grounds—"

Wait.

First kiss?

There's no way this is her first kiss.

Right?

Is the writer actually insane?

"Aggh, what the hell is wrong with my character?" Dano curses foully, glaring up at the sky. "Am I really that pathetic? I haven't had my first kiss yet and I'm nineteen years-old?"

"Sooo?" Dohwa leans theatrically in, his eyes gleaming suggestively. He whispers, "What is it? I'm listening."

"What are you doing?"

"Baek Gyeong! Your boyfriend. Aren't you going to brag about him? Or, at least gush about how hot and romantic you're schmoochie-poo is when he kisses—"

"Dohwa, knock it off!"

"What? Why?" he cracks up. "Why, what's the problem? You like him, Baek Gyeong."

But the real Dano... the Dano beyond the stage... even though she had wanted to kiss Gyeong, did she truly mean it?

Yes! She did! Of course she did. She likes Gyeong.

So what is this uneasy, restless feeling inside her?
