Dano opens her eyes. She doesn't know why, but she wants to pull away. Even though she had only just been wanting to kiss him. She meant it when she said it, but now... now that it had really come to pass...

She can't.

"Gyeong..." she whispers, trying to tug out of his grip. Gyeong. But he continues to hold her firmly, maybe even firmer, his hands cupping her jaw and threading securely through her hair. His eyes are still closed. Dano watches him through a  large, miserable gaze, but doesn't try to pull away. She loves him.

She knows she does.

So why...

Someone grabs Gyeong's shoulder and jerks him around, tearing his lips clean off Dano. The lock breaks. Dano blinks, startled, turning frantically to see who interrupted them—and it's Haru.

Haru.

"That's enough," Haru's eyes are ice-cold. "The stage ended already." In the comic book, Haru is portrayed to have an obnoxiously short temper. He's rich, so, supposedly, he's spoiled. And when he's angry he makes rash and impulsive decisions. (And he growls, apparently.) But, the real Haru... the Haru outside the stage... isn't like that. He isn't rash or impulsive at all. When he's angry he is just still, and stony, and cold.

Somehow this seems so much more dangerous.

Gyeong stares at Haru for a long moment, then scoffs. He rips his arm from Haru's grasp, pivoting roughly to face him. Suddenly, it's like the night on the ground-floor of the dorm building all over again.

Dano's pulse quickens, "Gyeong..."

"Didn't you hear Saemi?" Gyeong shoots at Haru, head cocked coolly. "Just talk to her. Talk to her, and stop looking for trouble with me. Or else you'll find it, I promise."

Gyeong's character doesn't have a temper. He just doesn't. Dano is sure of it! The stage that just took place proved this, so where does this familiar, darkened part of Baek Gyeong come from? And why does it always reveal itself when Haru tempts him outside the stage? Just like the night in the dorm building, Gyeong seems to come alive as someone entirely different. And again, Dano doesn't recognise him.

"Gyeong, what are you doing?" Dano reaches for his elbow. "Just stop it. Okay? Just—don't act like this, stop it now."

"Act like what?" He demands. He voice doesn't soothe at all.

"Yeah, Haru, don't do this," Shin Saemi grabs Haru's arm. "Just talk to me. Don't hurt Gyeong."

"This isn't about Saemi," Haru tells Gyeong.

"Sure it isn't."

"It's not." He doesn't even respond to Semi, latching onto his arm like a leech.

Speaking of which—

Dano doesn't realise she is staring until Haru meets her gaze. She blinks. She stares and stares and stares into his eyes. His expression transforms. And then—like he's only just noticing her—his gaze wanders down to Shin Saemi clutching his forearm. He turns back to Dano.

Gyeong steps in front of him.

"Hey. What are you doing?" Gyeong asks, his voice low. Anger seethes in his eyes. "Don't look at her like that, do you hear me? Don't even think about looking at Dano like that!"

"You don't own her."

He shoves Haru harder than he did onstage, further shocking Dano. Gyeong is the impulsive one. Haru stumbles back a step, but catches himself. He turns to meet Gyeong's fiery flower once more, composed and seething his own cold acid.

"Don't look at Dano, don't even think about looking at her, don't even think about her."

"Gyeong!"

"You're the one that should be staying away from her," Haru rebuts through grit teeth. "You don't own her. Who do you think you are? Do you have any idea what you've done, you asshole?"

"What bullshit are you spewing?"

Haru stares at him for a moment, then scoffs, his expression riling into amused contempt, "You don't know anything. You don't even have your ego, why would you?"

Gyeong frowns, "What?"

"You don't even know what kind of sick creature you are. You don't know who are you. You don't know what you've done. You're oblivious to the suffering you've caused the people around you in your past lives—but not me."

What is Haru talking about? Dano swings her gaze over to stare at Gyeong. Why is Haru saying these hurtful things?

Something pricks in her chest: confusion, and protectiveness.

She shouts, "Hey—hey, what is this about?" Haru's eyes flick over to her. She sputters, "Stop trying to cause trouble! Leave him alone."

"I'm not trying to cause trouble," Haru answers. All traces of bitterness vanish from his expression—his contorted, tensed facial muscles—as he stares at Dano. His brow furrows. "I'm speaking the truth."

"What truth?"

"Don't you know?"

She stares at him for a minute, perplexed. Her eyebrows furrow and her lips pout into an upset, baffled frown.

He replies quietly, whispering. Suddenly he is as calm as the sea, "I guess you don't know.... I guess you don't remember yet."
