I feel so close to you right now

It's a force feel

I wear my heart upon my sleeve, like a big deal

Your love bows down, I mean surround me like a waterfall

And there's no stopping us right now

I feel so close to you right now"

Feel so close, by Calvin Harris

The next morning I woke up from the sun shining on my face, and the feeling of being observed. I had fallen asleep on the window sill and now Helen sat in a rocker next to her bed, still wearing her PJs, and watched me closely.

"Good morning," she said.

I stretched myself and yawned heartily.

"Good morning. Did you sleep well?" I asked.

"Yeah, what about you?"

Somehow I felt whacked. "Could be worse," I replied.

"The window sill is not the most comfortable place, you know?" she chuckled.

"Is there a reason why you didn't sleep in bed with me?" she insisted.

"You were snoring," I lied.

She shot up. "I didn't!"

I nodded. "Yes you did."

She looked at me with disbelief.

"Seriously?" she asked quizzically and approached me hesitantly.

I captured her wrists and pulled her onto my lap.

"Dead serious," I replied with a grin and could've slapped my mouth, but she returned the grin.

"How can I make it up to you?" she said, shaking her head.

"Oh, I've got a few ideas," I purred and attacked her earlobe.

"Well?" she breathed and I let my hand sneak under her shirt.

"Is that all you can think of? Is it a vampire trait?"

Her soft question shocked me a little and I gulped.

She smiled reassuringly. "I don't care what you are, Damon," she whispered.

Then she kissed me passionately, letting her hands explore my body. Her soft touch tore at my composure.

I responded and intensified the kissing before I grabbed her quickly. Within a blink she found herself on the bed and underneath my body.

"Wow!" That was all she said.

I lowered my face down to hers.

"You should care, Helen," I said and inhaled the scent of her hair. "Ignorance can be dangerous."

She went completely still, but her face didn't show any fear. Only her heartbeat increased its speed.

"I slept on the window sill because I suddenly craved your blood and it was hard to resist." Just now her eyes showed a little concern.

"But you didn't bite me. "

It was more of a statement, not a question. I shook my head.

"No, I've got myself under control. But the craving for blood is always there, it never vanishes, not for a second." Her eyes widened.
