Okay, First Prompt, hope you guys like it.
Keith Kogane, the one in the 2016 Voltron: Legendary Defender, is revealed to be half Galra in Season 2. In Season 1 Coran makes an off-handed comment about the castle being 600 years old before his and Allura's 10,000 year nap, he also makes a comment about helping out his grandfather who constructed the castle; makes ya wonder just how long Altean's, and other aliens for that matter, live for. Humans tend to live for only a century or so if their lucky, but that could make the Paladins seem like children to the allies... More so with their somewhat childish behavior. But then what about Keith?
It doesn't say exactly how long the Galran race lives for on average, so there is a possibility that Keith is technically still a child. Though humans are technically adults once they, in the U.S., reach the age of 18, their Frontal Lobe, the part of your brain that controls a person's logical reasoning, isn't actually fully developed until they're in their mid- to late twenties. But Keith, for as much as he looks human, isn't fully human. From what I can gather about the Galra they are a heavily instinct based race, at least much more so than humans, and that much of Keith's reactions mimic the instincts he inherited from his mother. Than when considering how more in control the older Galra are, Kolivan for example, that Keith has less control due to his childish instincts that he has had to bottle up in order to fit in better with humans. Put it all together and you get Kit Keith.
Am I crazy? Probably. But it makes sense to me. What do you Pups think?
On to the Rules:
1: Now, I don't know how long an average life span is for the Galra but I was thinking on having it be about 1,000 to 1,500... 2,000 tops.
2: This takes place after Keith meets the Blades. Technically, the only reason I want this rule is cause I think it would be epic if Kolivan has a meltdown over the fact that he put a kit through the trials.
3: The first one(s) to discover that Keith is actually a kit has to be Lotor and/or one or more of his generals. No one, not even the Blades, can know until afterward Lotor and/or his generals find out.
4: After discovering that the Red Paladin is actually a kit, Lotor and/or one of his generals kitnaps Keith to keep him safe because kits are precious to the Galra race and they feel that Keith is not safe in the war.
4.5: Adding on to the above Rule: they decide Keith is now their Kit since it's as if no one else is looking out for him.
5: Keith finds the family he's been searching for since his dad died. Whether that be with Lotor and his gang, the other Paladins, or the Blades is up to you.
6: Keith has to end up in some form of baby/little kid clothing at least once in the story. That is non-negotiable.
7: I would prefer it if Keith didn't end up de-aged. This is mostly for the shock factor on Keith's part as, by this point in time, Keith is technically an adult by humans standards. Now if he ended up shrinking or something due to his Galra genes reverting him to the age he would be if he were fully Glara while still keeping the memories and mental abilities he had as a half-human adult, then that's fine.
Pairings, if any, are your decisions. Whether or not Zarkon finds out is up to you along with when... as long as it doesn't interfere with Rule 3.
That's about it.
Have fun.
Create some Chaos.
Dress up Kit Keith.
Chao!
