"exactly what you run from, you end up chasing"

"Sir, madame, we have arrived at the Moretti estate."

The chauffeur opened  the doors of the sleek Benz, which Brad said to be his third least favourite car. He really was a spoiled brat.

I stepped outside and thanked the driver, then proceeded to take out my suitcase, which was looking meagre compared to the other designer trunks and boxes.

"Miss, that won't be necessary. We will bring up your luggage please."

"Oh, it's okay. It's not that I'm not able to do it. My mum always said I shall make use of my healthy two legs and arms thank you anyway!", I gave the chauffeur a warm smile hiding my feeling uncomfortable when someone else did something for me. In Pakistan it is a part of the culture to have maids and chauffeurs around the house when you are able to afford it. Sometimes these are underage, which i'm not okay with. Since I have turned 17 I started sending money for a fund that's primary goal was to give education to children in threshold countries. Education is a topic dear to my heart as there is still a percentage of children that do not seem to get their rightful education, which gives them a better chance at making a stable living.

"Sis you really mad to carry that by yourself, but whatever floats your boat I guess.", Brad batted his lashes at me and began walking towards the gigantic mansion.

Never in my life have I seen such a large and beautiful building . Now I've known Brad for ages, but I've only seen his student apartment in Los Angeles I regularly crashed in for exam season.

We stepped on a small lane made out of white marble leading to an unmatched porcelain white  house you'd not even see in movies. I took a moment to take in all the beauty that surround me.

As soon as we passed a small bridge passing over a small pond with Koi fish in it, we reached a huge staircase that lead to the entrance door. I had had difficulties pulling my suitcase up the stair and paused after my tenth step. I deeply inhaled and looked around me. The view was marvellous. I turned around and look up to the castle like house. Suddenly I saw the face of a man starring at me right from a window in the third floor. His face showed no expression, but I couldn't really make it out since he was standing behind a thin curtain. As I was about to tell Brad about the man he disappeared as abrupt as he came. I shrugged my shoulder and continued to drag the suitcase to the very top of the staircase, were Brad was impatiently waiting for me.

"Done dragging that stupid luggage behind you? Just give it to the butler."

I shrieked when a cold hand touched the handle of my suitcase. It was another butler, who with our looking at me took the suitcase and went through the now open entrance door.

A butler stood at the side of the door and greeted us.

"Sir Moretti, Mr and Mrs Moretti are unfortunately out if town on a last minute invitation from close friends. However everything will be ready for you."

"Well, I didn't expect too much", Brad said in a voice trying to hide his utter disappointment. But I knew him well. He didn't speak much about his family, but he admired his parents and looked up to them.  Seeing him hide his pain like this really tore my heart apart. But I couldn't say anything in front of the butlers.
