Jungkook came even closer, almost closing the gap between us. "Why did you have to leave me?" He softly spoke.
I looked at him in disbelief. "You know why."
He heavily sighed. "I'm sorry."
I shut my mouth. Not this again. No. I can't do this anymore.
"Stop." I said.
He closed his eyes and reopened them, wiping his tears away. "I'm sorry for cheating on you. I never meant to hurt you." his voice cracked.
Oh my god. Why? Why does he have to hurt me again? Why bring up the past?
Why couldn't he spare me the night?
I don't know how to feel anymore at this point.
"S-Stop." I stuttered.
"I know I can't go back in time, but I'm really sorry for what I did to you. If I could go back in time and fix my mistakes, I would." He continued.
My heart broke. I felt my heart sink deep inside my chest.
"But you can't." I said coldly.
He scoffed. "Don't you think I know?"
I sighed and looked down. It doesn't matter if he regretted any of it. He cheated. He cheated on me with Sujin. How could I look past things?
"Why now? Why tell me this now?" I felt tears forming into my eyes.
Jungkook lifted my chin gently, forcing me to make eye contact with him. "Because I never fully apologized."
God.
Why? Out of all nights.. why now?
"I'm sorry, Jungkook. But unfortunately, I don't care."
He backed away and stared at me coldly.
"But-"
"Enough." I looked away from him and grabbed my purse.
At that moment, all I wanted to do was be away from him. However, Jungkook encircled his arms around my waist, pulling me into a tight embrace.
"I've never stopped loving you."
