Chapter 3

-Luke's P.O.V.-

"What the hell??" Someone's words woke me up right when I was about to get back to sleep.

I looked up and saw Daniel, He just looked at a sleeping Cindy and me, in the bed. He looked like he had a little hurt in his eyes, and walked out the door. He tried not to slam it, but it was still kind of loud.

Cindy rubbed her eyes. "What was that??"

"Nothing. Just go back to sleep." I said standing up, "I'll be right back."

Cindy yawned with a nod and laid her head back down.

I walked down stairs and found Skip on the couch.

"Hey man, nothing happened."

"I know." He spat.

"How??"

"You're my mate. She's my cousin. I kinda of know more about you two, than you do each other. At least, for now."

I ran my hand through my hair, let out a sigh, and sat down beside him. "Daniel, she just got scared...she asked to sleep with me. Hell I offered half my bed to her. I could have slept on the floor, but I didn't want to not be next to her. I can admit that."

Daniel looked at me, for the first time since this conversation started, "Scared??" He looked concerned.

"Yeah, Of the dark."

He was about to say something, but decided against it and turned to face the wall again.

"Look, Daniel If this is really going to fucking bother you this much, than I sill stop. No flirting, no asking her out, no anything that suggests we could be more than friends. Just know...I really do like her."

"Why??"

"Well because she's a good fucking person. She don't give a fuck about what anyone thinks. We have similar sas. She gave me confidence when I had so little. She's kind, but not naive. She was nice to me before we even became The Janoskians. She keeps me laughing. I just love her presence, and the life she gives. and-"

"I get it!" Daniel interrupted.

"Well??"

Daniel shook his head and looked like he had some tears. "I can't say I didn't know this was going to happen. I knew one of y'all would like her. It's just that moment is here and she's my cousin man..I still picture us playing in dirt and begging for cookies, when we were kids. She was my best friend. Now she's best friends with my friends and cozzying up to one of them. But, you haven't been through the things and hard times we've been through together. The big things, that would have such little affect on you're emotions, if you didn't know her personally."

I nodded and looked down at my clamped hands. "So that's a No."

"No. Go ahead, ask her out."

My head shot up towards him. "Really??"

He nodded and looked down. "She seems a lot happier around you. You do, also. It's just going to take some getting use too. I will always worry about you two though, just cause I got love for you both. You're like my family man. "

I smiled. "Thanks Skip. This means a lot."

"Wait. Just remember one thing. If you hurt her, it don't make a fuck who you are and how long we've known each other, I will kick your ass."

"If I hurt her, I'm sure I would deserve it."

"I assure you, you will."

I walked upstairs, with a cheeky smile.
