Yunoh is currently eating Korean take-out with Johnny in the Doctor's lounge area, it's their lunch break and it's been a while for the two of them to have a proper conversation. He knew about Johnny way back in college, both of them entered Medical School and ever since then they've become best of friends, up until now.
"Why don't you take a vacation?"
Yunoh's face comes to be confused with the sudden topic. "Me? Why would I?"
"You've been working hard too much, you deserve a break." Johnny laid out a fact on why he suggested it.
"Don't worry, I love working. I don't mind at all."
After the breakup Yunoh keeps on drowning himself at the hospital, working nonstop. He endured his feelings; he tried hard enough to keep up on his work by doing everything he could. Nevertheless, there were times he thought what if when she sees him— he wonders if he looks like he's okay? He doesn't have any idea what kind of expressions he's doing those days.
Tears were always threatening him to spill in his both eyes.
Johnny wasn't in the same setting when Yunoh and Sierra broke up, he was appointed for a while at the American subsidiary branch of the hospital— that leads to him not being physically there to comfort his best friend. It was a slow process for him when he first heard the shocking news about the two not being in a romantic relationship anymore. Candidly speaking, the woman and his best friend were one of the mostcompatible couples he ever encountered and Johnny could attest it was not only him that agrees— he was even sure Sierra and Yunoh would get married eventually.
No wonder why he suggested to Yunoh about him taking a vacation— he knows deeply how his best friend is affected.
We could compare that Life may perhaps be a Pandora's Box, none of us knows what it could lay in store and sadly it wasn't the happy ending that people— even themselves were hoping for the both of them.
"I'm curious about something," the older guy blurted out, "But if you don't feel answering it, I understand."
"What is it?"
"Why not pursue Sierra again?" Johnny looked at his best friend, plastering his concerned face.
"What are you trying to say?" Yunoh clearly knew what he was talking about however; he wasn't expecting to hear this question. On account of Johnny, he typically takes caution when asking.
"I mean, Casper you pursued her when she didn't love you from the start. I'm just thinking if you still love her so much why don't you try pursuing her again?"
"And make her fall in love?" He breathes
"Exactly!"
His mind travels back when every moment catches him, leading the guy crying endlessly at nights or even when it's in the middle of the day, he always ponders around and ends up with her— the resilient emotions exist.
