Chapter 25 Go

Pulling my hair back, I started picking up all of the soda cans , take out bags and throwing a load of laundry in the wash. This was what I got for enjoying myself. A disgustingly dirty house.

"I don't think you should be working this hard." Lucas, I mean Dom said taking the mop from my hand.

"Well , Dom shouldn't you be making yourself at home rather than worrying about me ?" I said taking the mop back while he sat at the counter.

"Nah. Boss just went over everything with me and according to him I'm free to do whatever I want unless he instructs me otherwise or we get called out. So , what's for lunch?" He asked grabbing an apple from the bowl while I placed my hands on my hips.

"Are you kidding me ? I just got back." I said laughing while he joined me. "I really missed having you around." I said in a light hearted mood.

"Me too ."

"Hey Dom , some of the guys are going to grab a drink out back. Wanna join ?" Tom said patting him on the back while he looked over at me saying ;

"Sure. I'll see you later. " He said following them all out back as I focused my attention back on the dirty dishes.

"Well , well, alone at last." Marco said coming up from behind me and holding me close to his chest.

"Yeah. It's kinda nice." I said turning around in his arms.

"How about we leave this for them to clean up themselves ," He said taking the plate from my hands. " and you and I go upstairs and cuddle for a bit. " he said with a smile as I couldn't help but do the same.

"Sounds good ." I said as he took my hand in his, guiding me up the stairs towards our room. And as much as I would've hate to admit it , I did enjoy relaxing like this much more than having to clean.

"I can't wait to meet him." Marco said, rubbing his thumb across my belly as he held me close to his chest.

"Me too."

"Would you ever want more kids ? I mean, I know we've never really talked about it." He said while he absentmindedly twirled my hair between his fingers.

"I know this wasn't exactly planned or anything , but I'm really excited to be a mom either way. I think I'd want more kids in the future. How about you ? " I said taking his arm and wrapping it around my body as I layed my head down on it.

"I mean yeah. I've always wanted a big family of my own. I came from a big family with lots of cousins and I always enjoyed growing up like that. So... close. So I mean , a big family is definitely something I'd like someday. That's if you would too." He said as I just listened to him talk. Everything he was saying was the right thing I wanted to hear and it was kind of unbelievable , but I also knew my heart choose to love the right person.

"I'd definitely want that. Especially if I get to have that with you." I said turning around while I looked into his eyes , watching his gaze soften before he leaned down and started kissing me. And I know I didn't know much about his past , but something told me this wasn't the first time he's done this. He seemed like he was almost a pro at it. In one swift move , he curled his arm underneath me and flipped us as he encaged me below him while he deeped our kiss. It was like everywhere his kisses fell , fire ignited and left my skin tingling with little lights of passion and desire . I know that our life might not be perfect or pure. But atleast our love for eachother will always be.

"Marco?" I said tapping him on the shoulder.

"Mhm..." he mumbled turning towards me as he struggled to open his eyes.

"We need to go." I said trying to catch his attention, but I guess sleep had more power over him that I thought.

"Go where ? Go back to sleep baby." He said trying to pull me back to his arms.

"That's exactly it. The baby. Let's go." I said trying to act as calm as I could, though on the inside I was freaking out.

"What !?" He yelled panicked, suddenly a lot more alert as he jumped up from the bed grabbing his shirt. "Are you okay!?" He said looking me over as panic started to settle in him.

"Yeah I'm fine. But it's gotten a lot worse since last night. " I said grabbing some shoes.

"Last night? How long have you been up ?"

"Since 11 ." I said knowing full well he wouldn't approve .

"11 ? Alice it's 3 in the morning. Why didn't you wake me sooner ?" He said disappointed, grabbing his jacket.

"I didn't want to wake you. You looked so peaceful. " I said as he walked over to me , placing his hands on my shoulders while he looked down at me.

"I would do anything for you. You know that. " He said with so much love that I almost regret not waking him sooner. Maybe then , I wouldn't have sat with all of this pain by myself for the last 5 hours.

"I know. But we really need to go right now." I said while he helped me down the stairs.

"Boss ? What are you doing up?" One of Marco's men asked from the kitchen as we passed him.

"Just tell Tom he's in charge until we get back. We're going to the hospital. " And before he could ask anymore questions, Marco and I were both in the car on our way to the hospital to meet our baby boy.
