"At what time is Dom's admissions ceremony again?" I ask helping Marco tie his tie.

"It's at noon. We'll have to get you yours too as soon as these babies are born you know." He says placing a kiss to my head.

It's basically a tradition around here that once you've been accepted into their gang - and have earned their trust - and you've passed the five month mark since you've been integrated into their business , it's made official by you getting their scorpion tattoo - showing you belong and now bonded with them for life - at an official admissions ceremony. I've obviously long passed the five months mark since I'm going on a year now , but with me still being pregnant Marco doesn't want to risk it until after they were born.

"Sounds good." I said turning back to the unmade bed while Marco left to make sure everything was ready for later. I was kind of excited since that not only meant Lucas would be around indefinitely but also that I got my best friend back. A little piece of home.

Pulling the bed covers back neatly , I make my way to the closest where Marco hung my outfit for later. He told me not to look at it until I have to put it on , but then again what difference would an hour make ?

"You're not looking are you ?" I jumped at the sudden voice behind me as I pulled my fingers away from the zipped bag.

"Of course not ! " I said turning around seeing Dom stand behind me.
"You're looking sharp. Nervous ?" I asked straightening his collar. He never was one for dressing up.

"Should I be?"

"No, I mean sure this means you'll be here indefinitely. But you don't mind do you ? I mean , you're practically assumed dead anyway. " I said stepping back.

"No , it's just ... daunting I guess. Being a part of a gang."

"You'll get used to it." I said without even having to think about it before I realized how easily that came to me , and rephrased. "I mean , they're nice people. I've come to know some of them and they're not that bad. Plus, you'll always know they've got your back . So there's nothing to really worry about."

"That's easy for you to say. You're married to our boss. We basically protect you. Not the other way around." He said , putting his hands in his pockets.

"Not true. Marco almost laid down his life for these guys not so long ago. They're family. We're all family. And we look out for eachother." I said turning back to the closet.

"Thanks. You should uh , get ready. That's what he sent me to tell you." He said as he walked out.

Unzipping the bag that held the thing I wanted to see the most , I was struck with awe at the gorgeous red dress that would soon be draping over my shoulders. Marco had impeccable taste , that much I couldn't deny. And not a moment after I finished zipping the back of the dress , Marco stood in the doorway looking as handsome as ever.

"Wow ! You look , breathtaking." He breathed out as I couldn't help but blush.

"Thanks. You've got great taste." I said with a smile as he held his hand out to me .

As we walked down the stairs the whole house was crawling with men in suits , not a single leather jacket in sight. Must be an even bigger deal than I anticipated. I listened to Marco talk about the importance of this event and what it initially meant, everything I've come to learn by heart now since he wouldn't shut up about mine. But I watched him talk with seriousness and integrity, pride and focus. I could see why they all respected him. He was great at what he did. An amazing leader.

The room fell silent as Dom walked unto the stage , ready to receive the thing that meant his life from here on out. A simple tattoo of a scorpion that bonded all of these guys together like blood would in any other situation. I held my breath as I watched Marco's hand move across Dom's bicep along with the tattoo gun. I could see Dom was nervous , he never took kindly to needles of any sort. But I could see this whole ordeal meant a lot to him being accepted and all, so he braved it out.

The room fell into cheers the moment Marco placed the tatoo gun down. Everyone congratulating their new brother in crime. Literally. While he wore the biggest , most proud smile I've ever seen him display. And I've known him his whole life. This was a big moment for him , and I could see it meant a lot too.

"That was amazing." I said in awe , linking my arm with Marco as we walked through the crowd.

"If you think this is amazing, wait until you see yours." He said with a smile making me look confused up at him. "Yeah , the leader's ceremony is way more of a big deal than the members. It's going to be great!" He said with enthusiasm making me more nervous than I thought previously possible.

Walking over to Dom surrounded by a bunch of guys , they immediately part way for me in respect as I approached him.

"Congratulations. " I said with a smile , trying to keep it professional while everyone around us watched me interact with him.

"Thank you." He said with a kind smile as I walked back to Marco as if our interaction didn't even happen. It was now more than ever important that we kept our old lives separate and secret. If the rest of the guys found out that he was a fraud, that wouldn't only mean his death , but mine and Marco's as well.

That's it ! I didn't want to write anymore and drag it out. But thank you so much for reading. Remember to leave your thoughts in the comment section below. Until next time keep howling my wolves ❤🐺
