Chapter 11- Confronted!

CAFE-

When Honey asks Sathya about his friendship with Tarun, an unexpected entry by Tarun shocks Sathya.

Sathya : Tarun, you here?

Tarun : Good question. If you had told me that you're meeting this girl, I would not have come here.

Honey : Tarun, what are you saying?

Tarun : This fellow gave an excuse to meet you.

Honey : What excuse?

Sathya : I lied to Tarun that I would cook for my mother in the evening so that I can meet you.

Honey : Oh my god!

Sathya : If I had told Tarun about you, he would tease me.

Tarun : Initially he doesn't speak with girls. That's why he lied.

Honey : How did you know that he's here?

Tarun : I decided to help him cook so I went to his house. Ashwini only told me that he's here. But I didn't expect he would be with you.

Sathya cringed and muttered, "I thought so. Ashwini!"

Honey : Lol. Leave all that. Have some coffee.

Tarun : I already had. Before I tell you about our friendship, tell me your name.

Honey : I'm Honey, the cousin of Lisa.

Tarun : Sweet name.

Sathya : And, the accountant of LGH main.

Tarun : Wow! How long have you been working?

Honey : For 3 years.

Sathya : Tarun, stop interviewing and tell her about our friendship.

Tarun : Fine. Honey, you should know certain things about Sathya. I call him a geek.

Sathya's inner voice : No not again!

Honey : Geek? Ha Ha!

Tarun : He's a topper in both school and college. In fact, he pursued higher studies on a scholarship.

Honey : Calling him a geek is never wrong.

Tarun : But he doesn't like when I call him a geek.

They laugh on seeing Sathya close his eyes and ears.

Honey : Tarun, truth is bitter to be heard.

Tarun : Yes. We both have had a thick friendship since UKG. Sathya was a sincere introvert at first, then I changed him to a chatterbox. We were outstanding students, mostly standing out of the classroom as a punishment for talking. We were called "The Most Talkative Students". Sathya had always got the first rank every year and I was next to him. I clearly observed the differences between Sathya and the other students. He is a true geeky gentleman, believe me. If somebody badmouths education, he would punch that guy and say,"education is next to god". We didn't expect our friendship to be so different, and lovely. Other students were so jealous of our bond. We were inseparable companions, and still are.

Honey : So cute! Even I befriended Sunita since UKG. We have had almost the same life. Those school days, outstanding moments... and all are memorable.

Tarun : Oh my god, is she your friend?

Honey : Yes. I know why you were surprised. She told me about her first meeting with you.
