Chapter 16- The Resignation 💔

Sunita's cabin catches fire. A fire alarm comes up. Sathya guides the restaurant customers to take the emergency exit and he goes to the accident spot. The hotel guests also take the emergency exits.
The staffs put off the fire using the fire extinguishers.

Sunita is dumbstruck and heartbroken, as her career is spoiled!

The police and everyone arrive at the spot.

A staff member accuses Sunita to be the culprit!

When the police asks for proof, the security guard brings a video footage of the incident. It shows Sunita setting up a small time bomb in her cabin! It's indeed not a time bomb, but a similar device in which fire is let out when a specific time is set. Everyone is shocked on looking at the footage. Then the media arrives.

Sunita: I didn't do it! Everyone please trust me.

Police get angry with Sunita and slips a pair of handcuffs on her wrists.

But Lisa, Honey, Sathya and Tarun believe that Sunita is innocent. They try to stop the police from arresting her!

Lisa: But Sunita was with me at the time of the fire accident.

A staff member: No ma'am. It's clearly seen in the video that she has set up a time to burn the cabin to ashes, and then came to you. How cruel she is!

70% of the staff condemns Sunita for betraying Lisa and ruining her reputation! Sunita faces much disappointment and starts crying.

"STOP IT!" shouted Lisa. The staffs get silent.

Honey hugs Sunita and consoles her.

Lisa: Sir, Sunita can't do such a thing! I know her very well. Someone has laid a trap for her.

ACP: Ma'am, being the owner of this reputed hotel, you are defending this criminal. The video proof says it all!

Honey: Sir, please don't arrest Sunita. I'm sure this is someone's mere conspiracy. She isn't a criminal! Please don't arrest her without knowing the truth.

ACP: Show a valid proof that she's not guilty.

Tarun: Valid proof is that she belongs to a reputed family. She's the GM sir! How can she ruin her own cabin? We know how much she loves her career and takes great care of this hotel.

Sathya: Sir, I plead you to give us some time to prove that she's not guilty. Until then, don't take any action against her.

The remaining staff who believe Sunita also support her.

ACP: Fine. I have made a decision. Some of you believe this young lady but majority of them are sure about her crime. Lisa ma'am, either you should fire her or she should resign. If this is not done, she has to go behind bars and resign from the position as well.

ACP's words strike Sunita like a thunder! Her well wishers are shocked to hear such a decision. The ACP takes off the handcuffs from Sunita's wrists.

Sunita: Sir, please listen to me. Will I do this to my friend's hotel? Please don't ruin my career. Becoming a GM was my dream right from childhood!

ACP: You've lost the rights to speak! I've let you free only because of some people who don't want your future to be spoiled. It's better if you resign rather than being fired or arrested. It will save your dignity.
