Chapter 36- Taking advantage of weakness

HONEY'S HOUSE-

Honey comes back with Sathya.

Lisa: Did they accept?

Honey: Lakshmi Ma accepted, but I'm yet to talk to Vinod Pa.

Lisa: Sathya, you tell your father. Honey seems hesitant.

Sathya: Actually he's coming here next week.

Lisa: Is it?

Honey: Yeah, that's why we decided to wait.

Sathya: He will accept us for sure Honey. I have that hope.

Lisa: Love your confidence!

Honey: Lisa, bless us.

When Sathya and Honey are about to fall on Lisa's feet, she holds them.

Lisa: You needn't fall on my feet. My blessings are always showered on you two.

They embrace her. Honey has something going on in her mind about Lisa. But she keeps those feelings apart and feels proud to be her sister.

Lisa calls them to the Puja room. The photo of Honey's parents is decorated with a garland. Sathya sees their picture for the first time and gets emotional.

Sathya's inner voice: Wish you both were there! It's my duty to protect your daughter against all evils. Please bless us. You're always in our hearts, Ma and Pa!

Honey's inner voice: To my mom and dad, Lisa took good care in your place. Don't worry about me. Sathya will also give you utmost happiness after we marry.

Honey and Sathya seek blessings from her parents.

Lisa: Sathya, what are you having?

Sathya: We already had dinner. I've brought it for you as well, poori with aloo.

Lisa: Poori makes me more hungry. Did Ashwini have?

Sathya: She has dinner only at 9 PM.

Lisa: That's too late. I'll pack food for her. It's her favourite masala dosa with sambar.

Honey: I missed it!

Sathya: She will have her favourite food immediately. Thank god you made dosa.

Honey: A small correction, masala dosa.

Sathya: You're using my technique.

Honey: You've tortured people with small corrections, now I played tit for tat.

Lisa laughs at them and packs dinner for Ashwini. She gives it to Sathya.

Sathya: Bye Lisa, take care Honey.

Sathya leaves their house.

Honey: You know what Lisa? Sathya assumed that Lakshmi Ma came here and got fully dressed up.

Lisa: Lol, how could he assume so silly?

Honey: Sathya had called me and heard Lakshmi Ma's voice. He felt as if he missed the meeting.

Lisa: How nervous he must have been!

They laugh.

The next morning,

Anu spends her second holiday in her friend Kavya's house. She tells Kavya about yesterday's daydream with Adhi.
