Chapter 48- Hide And Seek

The next day,

Adhi called Tarun, Sunita, Honey and Sathya to his house. They are in his room.

Adhi: Tarun, we are so sorry. If you could forgive us for hiding a big secret from you...

Tarun: Dei, I haven't seen you feel so low before.

Sathya: Not only him, but I also feel low.

Sunita: What's wrong with both of you?

Adhi: I already know the culprit behind Shyamala's death. But Sathya knew just yesterday.

Sunita: (silently) What?

Tarun: You know him?! Who is he?

Adhi: LGH's so-called assistant hotel manager, Bala.

Tarun and Sunita get the biggest shock after hearing his name.

Tarun: Bala...

Adhi: We are sorry da, it was not that we wanted to hide it from you. You were already in depression...

Tarun fastly slaps Adhi in anger, making the friends shocked by his behaviour. Tarun later calms down.

Tarun: What was the need to hide this truth Adhi?

Sathya: Tarun! I'm also at fault, slap me too.

Tarun: You were partially at fault, but Adhi was totally at fault. Had he told me eight years earlier, I would have taken some steps. You guys made me strong, then why would I get depressed?

Adhi: When I attempted to confront Bala, he ran away. We searched for him everywhere using the police force but he couldn't be found anywhere.

Tarun: He could have escaped to another country using Sagar's help.

Adhi hugs Tarun and asks for forgiveness.

Tarun: It's okay, I understand your point as well. I'm sorry for slapping you dude.

All smiled at them as they didn't separate, but instead mended their friendship further!

Sathya: Dudes, we shouldn't let a dirty man earn money from a reputed company like LGH.

Honey: For the kind of work he did before he doesn't deserve the seat of assistant hotel manager! We must do something...

Tarun: We should provide justice for Shyamala. Sunita will also be safe from Bala if we make him quit LGH himself.

They all think about what to do in the meantime.

Some hours later,

While Adhi's on duty at the hospital, Anu sneaks into his house when the door is open.

Keshav's voice makes her alert and she immediately rushes to Adhi's room and closes the door.

Keshav: Lalitha! What if a thief enters our house? The main door is open!

Lalitha: Then close the door, it was open just for 5 minutes.

Anu: My time is auspicious...I escaped!

Actually Anu wanted to find out about Adhi and Sonia's relationship, that's why she sneaked into his house!

Anu sits near the computer and gets shocked as it's password protected.

Anu's inner voice: Then how will I find his secrets?

Anu remembers a day when Sathya told Sunita and Honey about Adhi's diary writing habit he had years ago.
